Hello people! Not much to say I don't think. We put an offer in on a run down bungalow in the middle of lots of fields, on it's own, for £55,555 (they asked for 45), and today is the closing date, so we will hopefully find out tomorrow if we have got it! Think I'll be gutted if we don't! Desperately want a place of our own now! Something to look forward to!

I'm officially on my first and hopefully only diet. Never thought I would have to go on one.Went to see the nurse last Monday and i've set a target of twenty pounds, which is what i was ten months ago, 20lb less. So i'm eating smaller portions of everything, having no sugar in tea or on breakfast, eating no crisps, biscuits or sweets and trying to keep to eight glasses of water (or orange squash with no added sugar in my case) and five pieces of fruit and veg a day, which is actually not that difficult, although I admit, I'm sick of eating bananas now! Can't be doing with all those stupid diets where you can't eat particular types of foods, e.g. atkins or blood group diets crap!In a week I've managed to lose nothing. So i'm unsure about it all. Where is the sense in depriving yourself of all the nice sweet and fattening foods if you don't lose anything. I wasn't gaining anything from doing it, so i might give up soon! Problem is, nurse wants to see me fortnightly with everything I've eaten written down, to keep an eye on my weight, so I daren't fiddle, which maybe a good thing. Maybe no-one loses anything in their first week anyway!

I'll stop babbling now and go and do some ironing. If I think of anything else I'll have to update again soon! Cheerio!
