From my mother's IM about her radiation treatments:
went today for the patch work on my chest, that is how they give you radiation, use magic marker and make a mold of your chest, oh what fun I had, I told them where I want the activiaty, I said just go from the arm to the outside of the arm, he said I will determan where to put the rays I said you better be right.
I love how she will dictate what people will do to her. If she thinks something is unnecessary, she demands to know what everything is. I love how she told the cardiologist that she'd do 3 minutes on the treadmill....that's it. They were saying no, you have to go until you can't go anymore. She said you'll have 3 minutes, then brought in the tomato egg timer to prove her point!
Still my favorite is her telling me she made her own prosthetic boob, cause she wasn't about to spend all kinds of money on a silicone gel thingy. I said oh gods what did you do? She said she filled up a kneehigh and put 4 cups of rice in it! I said OK, I'm now insane, oh shit!! Tell Eric, and he said remind me to never eat rice at your mother's place. So I tell her Eric said that, cause she'll have to change it every so often...and she said Oh, well that's the day to make rice pilaf!!
I just want to make sure I get things like this down, since they are just so uniquely her....
