Weekend
Well I went to Manheim, and I was prepared for a country type of atmosphere, but not to that extent. I was shocked that several restaurants closed by 8pm. Like what, it's not even dark! The only problem I had with the hotel was that they don't have an indoor pool, and since it's too early, could not enjoy swimming. Damn.
I finally got to meet Eric's mother, and I could see why he wanted to get away from her. Interesting combo of the 'victim' mentality and a controlling manipulator. She's been telling him for quite some time that she wanted him to get his stuff, then she can move into a small apartment where she would not need to shovel or cut grass. OK, we got everything he wanted....since I think it's important that he have some of his thing he really missed from home. Told her to get rid of rest however she wanted, clothing bins or put 'free' on boxes in front of dumpster. She was then saying she didn't want to try to move with the cat. Oh please, really, the old cat would be such an issue? She also does not have too much stuff at all. She could be moved with 4x4 making several trips. Just wants to constantly complain about something.
Best part of watching them interact was seeing how she uses body placement to get in the way, so she'll 'trap' you into talking to her about pretty much nothing. Ha! I come from the genes of MASTER MANIPULATORS! Do not try to stand in my way to talk to me, when I can easily hand you boxes and put you to work for me! Do not think you will win. Not happening.
So Eric and I pack up car to the roof and drive 4 hours back, then unload car and start doing laundry. Danielle has whole washer full of clothes and hand wash stuff in washbasin. I ask Eric to make her clean carpet where she made boot marks months ago but she didn't clean them. She goes off on him due to being sore and tired from work, then says how he should do things, since he doesn't work! Oh, she went there!! So both of them were fired up and pissed off. Just great. *sigh* I also don't see Danielle leaving next month since she's barely making enough money for what she has to buy or pay bills.
