Just thought I'd post about general things happening. Eric just had his first full week at new job and he loves it!! I'm so excited that he doesn't have issues with it I can't tell you all how much. It's temp to perm and he can become a Teamster again when he's hired on directly and he likes that he can wear what he wants and have a beard if he wants, since it is kind of messy. He's got to get more work clothing and new shoes for when he's NOT working, but all of that is pretty cheap. The free time he had was totally worth it, since there are three medications he does not need to take, and he would not have found that out except he didn't take them. The ADD med he was really worried about being off of and he's even better than he was before! The physical work is tiring for him but not terribly tiring...and he's said he's happy it will be getting him in shape. He also got used to his contacts, so he wears those to work with safety goggles and it's just been a win/win all around....which is just a bit sigh of relief for both of us.
Only problem is now we have to try to get the rest of his stuff from Manheim with very little time to do so. His friend might be able to use his furniture which would be a big relief for Eric. And me as well, since what would I do with a bedroom set? Put it in my basement? Eric is also excited to be able to make a man-cave downstairs, so he can have a place to be alone sometimes. Guys you're welcome to visit it when it's finished.
Eric, Cameron and I were helping to clean up Cameron's place Saturday, and we took over under the bed box for some of his clothes. He's hoping to open up drawer space for other things. (I also got a great necklace from Cameron for my birthday early, since he might be going to Arizona with Jeffrey over my birthday.) Dave had put a ton of stuff around the one chair and table, and Eric got to clean it out using his monkey coordination skills. We also hope to get together Tuesday to go to Red, White and Blue for clothes for Eric...since he worked with oil and he's going to need work clothes which can handle that. I tried to clean his hoodie which was drenched in oil one day, and I got it sort-of clean. Good enough to go back to work! It's his work hoodie now!
