Laura left this morning - she got here on Sunday. We spent our time as we usually do: watching Buffy and DVD's. Although, to our credit, this time we only watched one DVD, but we didn't have as long as we usually tend to. But, we did catch the new Buffy. And I have just one word for that: Disturbing.
Good god! When Evil Preacher squished out Xander's eyeball??? I've seen every Buffy episode multiple times and that was a bit much for my little heart to take.
In other news, my love for Andrew grows and grows. And Faith still kicks ass. Literally.
Yesterday was La's 22nd birthday, so Wendy came over and we had take-out and cake. They ordered a bunch of sushi and me being the ickle Western girl that I am ordered stuff from White Spot. (Three guesses as to what.)
And now for the mini-drama portion of my day:
Just got back from a 7-11 run, and as we tried to get into the elevator. It didn't come down level with the floor, like it's been prone to lately. So, mom got in and took it up a level, then tried to get back down. The elevator didn't come back down and I suddenly heard an "eee!eee!eee!eee!" coming from it. "Oh, that had better not be what I think it is," says Donna to herself. Oh yes, it was. The elevator was stuck, with wittle mommykins stuck inside. (Normally would be highly entertaining, but I was alone without any of my equipment and Neil's at work, so should an emergency arise, which is has been almost bi-hourly lately, that could have been a problem.) Anyway, Burt The Landlord got her back down, and I managed to get up eventually, but now I won't be going anywhere until it's fixed.
Stupid elevators. This is where one would say, "They can put a man on the moon, but they can't get a person up 4 flights of stairs?"
Crazy times.
Anyway, I'm going to go watch the hockey game and eat my chocolate cake, ketchup chips and drink my slurpee. YUM.
