"Oh, it's a jolly 'oliday with you, Ed"
Greetings, peasants! It is I, Princess Donna of Insomnialand! I am regal and annoyed!
So, stop. Blogger time.
Since last we spoke, gentle reader, Kim Kardashian has gotten married and divorced during my Kardashians marathons, I've developed some sort of chemical dependence on Popcorn Twists, and the mommikins and I went to see Ed Sheeran.
Ever since I saw wee Ed open for Taylor Swift in 2013, I've been dying to see him again. He's one of those artists where you can listen to his music and be like, "Yeah, I dig this" but then you see him perform live and you're like "Ohhhhh shit. He's like.... good." It's just him up there on that stage but it sounds like an entire rock band. What he does with his loop pedals and his harmonies and his improvising and EVERYTHING is just mind blowing. He's like Burt in Mary Poppins, a one-man-band!
The concert was at Ambleside Park in West Van, which was where we saw Tegan & Sara and Fun last year, which is such a great venue, despite the fact that it's EIGHTY MILLION MILES AWAY. It seriously took us two hours to get home at 11pm. Luckily, I provided endless entertainment for Laurie by singing little bits of every song I knew and by thinking of words & phrases that started with S-T-A... See, I hadn't eaten much that day, and I had a post-concert high, and I was delirious from being confined to a moving vehicle in inchworm traffic.
As for the rest of the week, I have done nothing except watch award shows and complain about them on social media. My mom leaves to visit her mom in Taber on Saturday for six days, so that means me & Daphne are HOME ALONE! AHHHHHHH! KEVIN!!!!! I would say that we gun go cray while ma's away, but Daphne is stricter than my mom, so yikes. She might try to force feed me a vegetable or something. Shudder!! I gots a date with my bro for Saturday & a girl sesh with Brenna on Sunday, so it'll be a good time!
