What the fuck does a girl gotta do to get some FRIGGING sleep around here?!

Okay. Seriously, I know I often have problems with insomnia but this is getting on my nerves. No matter what I do, I can't fall asleep. I do all the "things" you're supposed to do, like use lavendar scent and candles, no computer... I watch TV, but I do that first and then read for an hour or so. Trust me, I'm not a worrier, so I'm not stressed out.

I'm sure it's probably a withdrawl thing, but it still pisses me off. It's not like I'm not drugging up either... took 2mg's of Ativan and whatever my Zopiclone is, like 7.5 or something, and that was over two hours ago and I'm still wide awake and pissed.

If drugs can't solve my problems... I need more drugs! I am talking to my doctor about my insomnia. Seriously, if I were a normal person with an actual life to live between the hours of 7am-5pm, I'd be having a mental breakdown. I cannot spend another night falling asleep at 7am! I can't! And yet, my protests do nothing except get me all pissed again.

Anyway, tonight it also the night that I have to do my "overnight oximetry," which basically means I have a probe thing on my finger (like on the teevee!) so monitor my oxygen levels overnight, making sure there's not slipping to warning zone levels and whatnot. I LOVE Overnight Oximetry Night! I love to monitor my own stats. It became an obsession in the hospital, any time I've stayed. You've gotten else to entertain you. And actually, it's only know that my sats (% of oxygen level in your blood, basically) are perfect, how BAD they were when I was far from perfect... lung wise. I'm an pratically perfect in every way, afterall.

It also measures your heart rate, which is currently 87, a nice calm resting rate for my little mouse heart.

Random and not connected to anything, except for maybe trips to ICU, who saw that horrific, horrific injury at the Pathers vs Buffalo game? Jokinen's skate accidently slicing open teammate Zednik's carotid artery right on the ice. It was so gross... Slice, spurt, aah!! I didn't see it live, naturally because who watches Buffalo play Florida?! (Hahaha! Love you Tiff!) I've watched clips on YouTube and like, the pall that set over the arena is deafening. I've never heard a place that quiet. Thank GOD he's going to be okay... that could have so easily gone the other way... and the last 10 minutes were eventually played, but man. There's something so gruesome and macabre to me about the sight of blood on ice.

Sorry, enough being creepy!

Anyone have any insomnia helpful hints??? I'll take voodoo if I have to, I'd just like to fall asleep before the sun rises.

((PS, did I meantion my Canucks won last night? Shoot out winner by Little Ryan Shannon on an awesome spinarama, and then the goalie, Khabulin got all pissed and punched him in the back of the head with his blocked! So what does Little Ryan do? What has to be the best reaction ever to getting punched in the head:Shanny just turns and goes "WOOOO!!!" with arms pumping, right in his face. Go on ya, kid! And shut up Chiago fans, that SO clearly counted.))
