Okay, I'm Amused...
We just watched the local fireworks from our living room window while listening to the Boston Pops on TV. While we are sitting there watching, Lily, my cat, is sitting in the window watching the fireworks too. Really watching them, her ears were forward, and she was looking very intent at the sky where they were going off.
We are just far enough away that the loud booms are a little muffled, and happen about 5 seconds after the flash. (I would guess about a mile away) So the noise didn't spook her at all.
