Okay, so as not to be left out...
But, I'm going to do this a little differently. I don't do MP3's, I don't own a CD player and the only CDs I own are a few Native American music ones that I doubt anyone could identify. I rarely listen to the radio beyond WBZ talk radio and WUMB folk radio. And the last time I watched MTV was when Michael Jackson premiered Thriller. So I look at all the song lyrics people have been posting and say "Huh! I have no clue."
But I do sing every other Friday night and I am currently editing a songbook for our singing group, I am going to randomly open the song book and pick lines from songs.
A few hints. The song book has 606 pages currently. The songs are in the book alphabetically by title. They are all songs that are pretty much singable by a group of people. They are pretty random where they come from, some are folk, traditional, show tunes, 50's, 60's, 70's 80's and 90's pop and classic rock, Big Band stuff, all kinds of music, definitely not from one genre.
I'll give the page number that the song is on and a line or two from the song. (Think about the page numbers, if the title is near the beginning of the alphabet, the page number will be lower...) Yes, I have sung every one of these song at one time or another.
You give me the title, and performer(or show it's from), kudos if you know the actual author.
**No cheating and looking them up on the net... All of these songs are on G's web site. Yes, you can find all the answers by googling on the lines of the songs.
Without further ado...
