It was another Christmas with my family.
Smokey, stressful, tiring, often it was left up to me to diffuse what could have escalated into major *disagreements*. My sister is so competitive,if I have a cold, she has pneumonia. Both my sister and mother have dogs that don't understand GO AWAY. I am so not a dog person. I don't hate them, but I really don't want the Labs head in my lap every time I'm sitting down and I certainly do not want the yap dog on my lap licking my face the minute I sit on the sofa. The rest of my family doesn't seem to mind dog drool... ick!
We got home and the first thing I did was strip off my clothing and take a shower.
My sister was absolutely thrilled with the Black Dog shirt and the Patriots Jersey I gave her, as well as with her dog calendar I made.
Mom loved the homemade PJ's and the calendar I made with the dogs pictures on it, and she really liked the Antique carousel horse I found in that antique shop up in New York when I was at Baitcon.
Dad just loves anything he gets from his girls, I gave him a velour shirt (of the style he likes) and I jigsaw puzzle shaped like a classic car with pictures of other classic cars on it. He also got some chocolate. He went nuts on the Mocha cookies I made and brought. I left the extra cookies there for him to finish.
My sisters boyfriend said he can really use the gun cleaning kit and gift card to Cabelas, and he seemed to like the three fishing T-shirts I found.
For us it was heavy on the books and DVD's, my sister and mother found my Amazon wish list. My mother has discovered on-line ordering and had a blast this year surfing around the sites I pointed her at.
G got me some lovely opal earrings and a necklace as well a couple books and some other small stuff including an
Edward Gorey T-shirt.
Many books, books are good.
Tired...
