i had my first cup of coffee today. two cups, actually.
this momentous occasion, however, was somewhat overshadowed by the fact that it was my cousin's 18th birthday. she had a big ol' party, a "debut/cotillion," if you will; my super sweet sixteen style, except filipino. she's a lucky girl, that abby, to be able to celebrate her entrance into womanhood through song and dance.
my favorite part was when her cousin was dedicating this song to her and he makes a little speech that goes, "well, abby, love makes the world go round. i think everyone agrees with me, right? love makes the world go round? love and the lord?" not many people laughed with me, but it gave my heart much joy.
and then there was my father, sharing his fatherly wisdom:
emcee: alright, now it is time for, the "father-daughter dance"
[clapping and cheering as abby and her dad move to the dance floor]
dad: oh look, i think they're going to sing...
i was kinda antsy the whole time, and had obnoxious conversations with my family. well i was the obnoxious one, but only because i was so excited to see them. they said i wasn't allowed to have coffee anymore. the party ended with more dancing, and it was our cue to leave.
and now i'm kinda wired, maybe i can de-rezz sark and the mcp tonight (with the help of tron and his limit command "setup" of course). to the solar sailer!
