don't stop believin'
i'm still reeling from the fact that somebody in lab mentioned that the chemistry homework due tomorrow morning was easy and i just spent the last five hours doing it. what teh hell.
i was faced with another deception today, once again in the chemistry lab. our experiment involved making slime, not unlike the toy goo slime you can buy at kb toys. i for seriously thought i would get out like two hours early. and it started out kinda fun, my lab partner and i were talking about how this was like a chem 1a lab (non-chem major lab, where it is actually fun and you play with gumdrops).
there was a lot of downtime though and i was really bored so i made another slime mixture to play with while we waited for a steel ball to fall through a slime filled graduated cylinder. then my partner and i got this idea to take a latex glove and fill it with slime and then slap someone with it. hahaha, we were all giggly like naughty children as we were making it. it was really fun.
i ended up staying twenty minutes after lab was over because the slime suddenly leaked out a mysterious liquid and would not turn back into slime even after much mixing and whining. also i had to order chemicals for the special projects.
all in all, i feel very conflicted by the seemingly childish fun of slime and then its terrible betrayal. oh well. i'll just listen to more journey and other 80's music.
