(no subject)
OK, so gingerelanor asked me if I'd post scans of the old photos, so here they are. There may be notes accompanying them, for my own uses, otherwise I'll forget what my mum and dad told me!
So this is my mum's grandmother and grandfather, around about 1916 I think (going by the age of my nana (in the little chair), with their children. Sadly, the only names my mum can remember are Doris and Cyril, and while Doris is fairly obvious, I don't have a clue which one Cyril is. My nana's parents died when she was quite young. I'm not sure when her mum died,but it was early, and I think her dad died when she was 14.
This photo is dated 1900 on the back. We think it may be my great-grandmother and great-grandfather again, but we don't know.

My grandparents, with my aunty Ivy in the background. It's dated 1947 and looks pretty summery, so I'm guessing my mum would be a couple of months old at this point.
My aunt, mum and uncle in 1948.
My other great-grandmother, with her daughter Elsie (who moved to Canada and changed her name to Yvonne). Elsie was very much younger than the rest of her family, and is the only sibling left. The photo was taken in 1944.
My grandad with my aunt and uncle, probably some time in 1946 or 47.
My dad's parents on their wedding day, I think in 1945, but it may have been 1944.
