You're not the only one, either. My buddy Troy was out of work for over a year. For the last 6 months of his time, he worked as a secretary in an office for $7 an hour. He made coffee, he typed letters, he answered phones and he took a ton of shit from his friends who were out of work and wouldn't stoop to taking a job because they're rather take money from the government. When a position opened in IT at the company he'd worked at for 6 months, they hired him without even doing a search because they already knew he was a hard worker and had heard about his experience and education from him directly. Most importantly, they knew that he was willing to do what it took to be employed.
I just get so pissed off at people sitting on their asses and complaining online when I have friends who are taking responsibility for their lives and working their asses off.
