I guess this can be called Part 2 of "Recipes to help with virii". However, this one takes more time than the "Cure Disease" potion, and must be prepared in advance of being sick. The farmer's market has been selling some of the ingredients, so I bought what I could and started this winter's batch a few days ago, and thought I would share the recipe.
I learned about this recipe while at an herbal shop with
apostate_96. Like the other recipe, it tastes really excellent when you're sick (and I use it as a gauge for how sick I am).
I tend to use it as one part of my viral cure. Other parts include the Potion, oregano oil capsules, and kombucha.
Anyway, the recipe:
Master Tonic
Note: Ingredients should be organic if at all possible. And make sure they're all as fresh as possible. Dried should only be used if there's no other choice.
Raw Unfiltered Unbleached Non-distilled Apple Cider Vinegar (Braggs is the best)
1 part fresh chopped garlic cloves
1 part fresh chopped White Onion (or hottest onions) [yellow is next strongest, and red is weakest]
1 part fresh grated Ginger Root (no need to peel)
1 part fresh grated Horseradish Root (no need to peel)
1 part fresh chopped hot Peppers (use seeds but not stems) (ie cayenne, Habanera, African Bird, Scotch Bonnets, etc.)
Fill a glass jar ~3/4 of the way full w/equal parts by volume (i.e. a cupful each) of the above fresh chopped and grated herbs. Then fill jar almost to the top with RAW, Unfiltered, unbleached, non-distilled apple cider vinegar. Close and shake vigorously and then top off the vinegar if necessary.
Shake at least once a day for two to four weeks then filter the mixture through a clean piece of cotton (old T-shirt, etc.), bottle and label. Make sure that when you make this tonic that you shake it every time you walk by it, a minimum of once per day.
I like to let it sit for the length of one moon cycle (new moon to new moon or full moon to full moon).

For a half-gallon jar (2 quarts) -
1 c. of each herb and
32 oz of Bragg's vinegar
1 cup translates, more or less, to these unchopped quantities:
3 good-sized bulbs garlic
1 large onion (4" diameter)
1 healthy-sized piece of ginger
5" x 2" diameter piece of horseradish root
15 habanero peppers
Herbs don't need to be chopped finely - maybe 1/8"-1/4" chop.. horseradish is a tough root, and the chunks can be a little larger.
A food processor is incredibly helpful.

This tonic is extremely powerful because all the ingredients are fresh. Its power should not be underestimated. This formula is a modern day plague tonic and when added to an incurable routine it can cure the most chronic conditions and stubborn diseases. it stimulates maximum blood circulation, while putting the best detoxifying herbs into the blood. This formula is not just for the sniffles, it has helped to turn around the deadliest infections like some of the new mutated killer viruses that defy conventional antibiotics.
You can dilute with water or drink it straight. The point is to get it into your system.

For ORDINARY infections, 1 dropper full taken 5-6 times a day will deal with most conditions. It can be used during pregnancies, is safe for children (use smaller doses) and as a food is completely non-toxic. Make up plenty as it does NOT need refrigeration and LASTS INDEFINITELY WITHOUT ANY SPECIAL STORAGE CONDITIONS.

One final note: The tonic seems to stay good for about a year. Don't go overboard and make 3 or 4 batches, unless you have kids who get sick a lot. A half-gallon or gallon jar batch should be plenty.

As a bonus, it makes a yummy condiment to use in place of hot pepper sauce.
