Feeling sorry for Yokozawa less and less

Just finished reading and swooning over Chapter 8 of Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, thanks to the awesome generosity and hard work of Amyused scan group, (You guys are the best!) I find that while I still think Yokozawa as a great friend and an interesting character, I'm feeling sorry for him less and less.

The scene at the New Year's party was awesome. I hereby dub Chapter 8 as the "Prelude to the Awesome Yokozawa Smackdown in Chapter 10."  While it's understandable that Yokozawa was jealous, he should not have attempted to bring Ritsu down in front of Takano. It only resulted in Yokozawa looking ignorant and petty.

Yokozawa should have done some research first and found out "How to get your ex back without looking too desperate" on the internet or he should have watched several soap operas or Mexican telenovelas to see how it's done. He should have known not to be openly hostile to the person that your ex is currently drooling and lusting after. The open hostility only accomplishes three things: (1) it brings out the protective instincts of your ex, (2) makes the other person look pitiful and makes everyone feel sorry for him/her, and (3) makes you look like a bitch. And in the end, you never get the person you want.

Fast forward to Chapter 10, I couldn't help but snort when Yokozawa told Ritsu that if he hurts Takano hurt again, he'll snatch up Takano "again." I mean, really? He couldn't get Takano to fall in love with him even when Ritsu was not in the picture and now he thinks he can scare Ritsu with saying that when said person is working right next to Takano every day? That's some wishful thinking, Yokozawa-san.

Now, I'm off to rereading the whole thing again.
