I give you more egg pie!

This was baked by darmokentanagra, inspired by my previous egg pie post. =)

It looks so delicious. I got permission to share it.

That looks amazing, how exactly is egg pie made? I mean, doesn't dough always contain eggs? (sorry, I'm completely cooking-incompetent!)

Only the filling contains eggs (and some other ingredients like milk and sugar). The base or crust contains flour, sugar, butter, salt and water. :)

How many eggs did you put in this? I forgot to ask. :)

I only put 4 eggs, the consistency of the filling was very soft so for a more consistent texture it would be better to add more eggs. I'll try it next time. :)

I don't know how to cook this, even if it is a favorite of mine. I'm too busy stuffing it in my mouth once it's in front of me. XD

My aunt's recipe calls for one egg in the crust and eight for the filling. I guess it's your standard custard but with lots more eggs.
