Last week, I found this note of appreciation from one of my former teaching colleagues. I can't tell you how much it meant to me at the time (the year before I retired) and how much it means to me now.
If you have first-hand experience with a teacher doing a good job, why not write him or her a note of appreciation and respect? You
have no idea how much it will mean and how much good it will do.
Think about it.
Think about what it would mean to you if you were a teacher who really takes his or her profession seriously in these difficult times in education in America.

Oh, when you write that note, make sure you copy the principal and the school board president. After all, how do you expect others to treat you when you do a great job? That's why they call the Golden Rule golden.
