Chapter Eight. The One With Fall.

“I can’t believe you said no,” Ha Na commented, smiling, wishing she had been awake when Ya Nee landed on Young Bae’s crotch. That would’ve been priceless.

“I’ve been dating Song Joo for a year. How in the world was I supposed to say yes?” Ya Nee questioned her friend, latching onto her as they walked off the plane.

“I still can’t believe it. I mean, it was Young Bae!” Ha Na exclaimed, throwing her free hand into the air. “Young Bae!”

“And I love Song Joo,” she said simply. To her, there was no comparison. No matter how famous or rich Young Bae might have been, she loved her Song Joo more than anything else.

“But,” Na Ra added, appearing next to the two out of nowhere and latching onto Ya Nee, “you did give him your number.”

Ya Nee blushed. “Well, he asked. And it would’ve been rude not to, right?”

“Plus,” Ha Na added, “if things don’t work out with Song Joo, she has a nice little back up.” Ya Nee blushed. That hadn’t exactly been her intention, but, well, ya know….

“It’s a shame that we didn’t get to talk to any of the other guys,” Na Ra said with a sigh, no longer really paying attention to her friends, more so just talking to herself. Although she said she didn’t have a favourite in Big Bang, it was easily Ji Yong. She had always imagined meeting him and having him fall head over heels for her. Of course, right now, she would be content just talking to him. It would be a bit much if he fell head over heels for her.

“Well,” Ya Nee said with a smirk, “I have Young Bae’s number if you need. I’m sure he’d be willing to hook you up with Ji Yong. If, ya know,” she added, “things don’t work out with you and Jae Joong.”

Na Ra playfully backhanded her friend.

“Like that will ever happen,” Ha Na mused, her smile so wide as she made her way in front of the two, turning around to face them. “She’s already in loveeeeeeee.”

Knowing Na Ra would soon backhand her, too, Ha Na ran ahead of the two, making her way to baggage claim.

When she arrived, luggage wasn’t coming out of the belt yet. Although her two friends hated waiting, Ha Na loved it. She found it interesting - everyone she been on the plane with, right there, waiting around for the same thing that she was.

And then there was the fact that she liked jumping on the belt and ridding around on it.

Ha Na didn’t care that she wasn’t allowed to do it. She didn’t care that they could just throw her out before she got her bag - Na Ra or Ya Nee would get it for her anyway. It just was too much fun to resist.

As the belt started up, Ha Na let out a squeal of joy. She ran over to the belt, making her way around the mass of people. She hopped on, right before the first suitcase rolled out.

She looked down at it. She almost yelled. It was hers. There was no way she was going to get off just so that she could take her suitcase off. “Na Raaaa,” she begged, “get the bag.”

Her friend ignored her. She had no desire to be associated with her. Just because Ha Na might not have had any reservations about getting kicked out, didn’t mean she didn’t have any of her own. She had no desire to be kicked out. Not at all.

“Ya Nee?” she asked. Her friend shook her head - but only just, not wanting to make it obvious that she was the one the “crazy girl” was talking to.

“Fine,” Ha Na said, “I’ll do it myself.” She got off the belt and took her suitcase over to where the two were. She smiled at them and said, almost twice as loud as her normal voice, “Thank you for holding my bag, Choi Na Ra, Park Ya Nee, my dear friends,” and embraced them in a hug.

Then she let them go and raced right back onto the belt. She ran across, jumping over suitcases and landing in the few free spots. She knew how dangerous it was and how there was such likelihood that she would fall and break her neck. But that’s what made it so much fun. If it was completely safe, there would be no joy in it.

Some of the people around her were getting annoyed. Many were making comments about how she was a "crazy girl" and "needed to be tamed," all of which she heard, and all of which she just smiled at. She found it funny, honestly. And to be honest, she liked being the object of everyone’s attention, even if it was for something stupid.

"Hey, crazy girl," a voice yelled. Ha Na looked up, not sure who called her. It wasn’t Na Ra or Ya Nee, the voice obviously too low. “Throw me the bag next to you,” the voice commanded.

“Where are you?” she asked. She looked around. Then, about ten feet towards the left, a pair of arms waved around rapidly in the air.

“Um,” she said, pointing at the pointing at the people in his general area, “you might want to move.”

She picked up the bag. It was bigger and heavier than anything else she had ever thrown. She lifted it up above her head, pulled her hands back slightly, and shot the bag out of her hands.

It barely went two feet.

On top of that, the bag wasn’t the only thing that fell.

As Ha Na threw the bag out, she used too much force and managed to launch herself as well. She didn’t have a chance to break her fall. No one had a chance to do anything. She landed head first on the merciless ground.

She was gone before she could realize her two friends were by her side, praying she was okay. She gone before the man who had yelled at her was at her side, guilt pulsing through his veins, hoping that he hadn’t caused anything too bad. She was gone before someone called an ambulance. She was gone before the paramedics came. She was gone before the put her on the gurney. She was gone before they reached the hospital.

Kyo Ha Na was gone.
