Chapter Five. The One With the Kiss.

So what if Chang Min didn’t have her number? So what if she didn’t have his number? He'd find a way to contact her, of course.

Ha Na sighed to herself. Despite trying to convince herself otherwise, she knew she'd never see Chang Min again.

She was the first of her friends to be ready. She couldn’t wait for the rest of them to be done. She just wanted to go. It’d be amazing to be back home, back to Korea, where everything was normal. She could forget about Chang Min for good. And that was, obviously, what she needed.

“You excited to go back?” Ya Nee asked, sitting down next to her friend on the queen sized bed.

“Yeah.” She smiled. “I mean, it was nice coming here, but I would like to be home. I almost miss work.” She laughed. “Are you?”

“Not really,” she said with a shy smile. “Just so many good things happened while we were here. I mean, Disneyland was amazing, even though Na Ra got stuck on that rollercoaster. But then that helped us meet DBSK, and that was so great. Seriously, that concert was, well, genius.”

Ha Na forced a smile on her face. “Yeah, it was.”

“And then,” her friend continued, “when you were up on stage and Chang Min ran across naked - that was priceless.” Ha Na could tell that Ya Nee, as well as Ha Na herself - of course - was reliving Chang Min running across that stage.

Despite herself, Ha Na smiled. Even though she knew it was stupid, just thinking of Chang Min made her smile. Even though she knew it was stupid, she liked him. A lot. Like, way more than anyone should ever like anyone - especially someone that was famous.

Na Ra walked into the room, smiling as if she had just won the lottery. “Shall we?” she asked. She started making her way out of their hotel room, her suitcase following along behind her. Ya Nee and Ha Na got up. Noi was staying a bit longer, going to visit some family.

They caught a cab and sat in silence the whole way there, each of them with something on there mind. When they arrived, the first thing that they any of the said come from Ya Nee:

“Isn’t that Chang Min?”

Ha Na’s eyes lifted up from her purse, where she was looking for her ticket. Ya Nee was right; there he was with Jae Joong, talking to one of the airline workers. They seemed to be talking about something either really interesting or really important, but Ha Na just couldn’t see why there were there. They had at least another month of touring. Plus, they wouldn’t need to go there and get tickets to head back.

“Shall we go say hello?” Ya Nee asked.

Ha Na wanted to protest. Sure, she liked him, but seeing him once more - especially talking to him - wouldn’t help her forget him. But Na Ra bet her to it.

“Of course,” she said, with a big smile. “They probably came to see us off.”

“How did they know we were leaving?” Ha Na asked. She sure hadn’t told Chang Min. And it didn’t seem like something that would’ve just come up while they were partying all night.

“I think I told Jae Joong last night when I was talking to him and Boa,” Na Ra lied with a smile. She wasn’t sure why she wasn’t telling her friends the extent of what happened with her and Jae Joong. For some reason or another, it just didn’t feel right to do so.

“Oh,” Ha Na said as Na Ra pulled her along towards the two of them

Na Ra quickly latched onto Jae Joong. Ha Na smiled. They really were cute together. And it really was time that Na Ra got a boy. Then, she turned her attention back to Chang Min.

“Why are you here?” she asked. She didn’t mean for her voice to sound as bitter as it did.

He pointed at his friend. “Jae Joong wanted to see her off.”

Ha Na nodded. “And you came why?”

“To see you off?” he said, as if he wasn’t sure if he could.

“Why?” she asked again.

“Do I have to have a reason?”

“Yes.”

"Why? Can't I just want to see you off? Can't I just want to say goodbye?"

"Sure, I don't care that you came, I don’t care that you wanted to see me off," she told him bitterly. "I just want to know why. That's all."

"Maybe 'cause I like you," Chang Min replied at rapid speed, his words so fast and so loud that everyone heard, but no one was quite sure what he said.

"What?" Ha Na asked.

Before Chang Min could reply, Ya Nee looked at her friend and said, "He told you he liked you."

"Thanks," Chang Min told her, rolling his eyes. "But yeah," he said, taking Ha Na's hand into his, "I like you."

Ha Na quickly removed her hand from his. "And who said I like you back?"

"Well," he mused, "although you never said it, I thought it was kind of obvious when you hugged me when we first met and then when you volunteered to go get me from backstage, and then last night when you asked if I'd ever see you again. And then when you didn’t run away as I kissed you."

"You kissed my forehead," Ha Na commented, "that's not that big of a deal."

"Still," Chang Min told her. "So are you saying that you don’t like me?"

"No," she said with a sly smile, "just that maybe you should find out if someone does before you go through all this. Imagine if I hated you? How embarrassing this would've been for you."

Chang Min laughed. "And this would be even worse if you didn’t like me."

"What wo-" Ha Na was cut off as Chang Min placed her lips onto her, right in front of the world, right there for everyone to see.

"Anyway," Chang Min said as they parted, "I'll call you." He began to walk away, just waving at Ha Na in the process. Jae Joong and Na Ra were still talking.

"Wait," Ha Na called, right before Chang Min opened the door to the outside. She ran over to him, pulling her cell phone out in the process. Panting, "I don’t have you number," she told him.

Chang Min laughed. He pulled out his phone and handed it to her. She gave him hers and they programmed their number's into each other's. They returned their phones to each other with a smile.

Ha Na began walking away. "You better call. Real, real soon," she said, over her shoulder, only slightly turning her head to look at him.

He didn’t respond. Ha Na sighed and began putting her phone in her pocket. However, right as she placed it in her pocket, it began to ring. "Hello?" she answered.

The voice on the other line laughed. "This soon enough for you?"
