Pema Chödrön is a leading exponent of teachings on meditation and how they apply to everyday life. She is known for her down-to-earth interpretation of Tibetan Buddhism for Western audiences. Pema studied under the meditation master Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and currently studies with Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche and Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche. She has authored many best-selling books, including Comfortable with Uncertainty, When Things Fall Apart and The Places that Scare You. She will have a new book entitled, No Time to Lose coming out later this year.
Jack Kornfield trained as a Buddhist monk in the monasteries of Thailand, India, and Burma. He is a founding teacher of the Insight Meditation Society and Spirit Rock Center and has taught meditation internationally since 1974. He also holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, and is a husband and father. His books include A Path with Heart; After the Ecstasy, the Laundry; and The Art of Forgiveness, Lovingkindness and Peace.
