[WARNING: Kikay and image-heavy post ahead]
According to
MyShape.com, I'm M-shaped.
"Women with softened, straight figures and fairly straight shoulderlines. They may have rounded bottoms and the difference between their waist and hip measurements is 7 inches or more."
Yep, that's me.
What I love even more about this site is that they give style suggestions...
Brooklyn Bound, for example, is something I'd wear almost every day if weather and hygiene allowed me to. And I love heather grey.
And while I prolly won't wear the two pieces together, I want to own
S'Marvelous for myself.
Tryly, Plaidy, Deeply is another winner, as I love plaid and that particular shade of green.
And this
Houndstooth number screams Gwen Stefani.
I am absolutely
Mad for Plaid. The patent leather trim just takes this to a totally new level.
And this
Tafetta Skirt Dress looks a lot like a dress I used to own and wear to my piano recitals, only my skirt was purple.
There's a
Color Palette thingamajig here too and, based on that, I think I'm a "Winter".
This site seems to confirm it. Feel free to say otherwise.
According to the latter site,
"Winter is a cool skin tone. People with winter skin tones have blue or rosy / pink skin tones. Skin tone can be pale and porcelain white, yellowish olive, or dark. "Winters" are usually brunettes with deeply coloured eyes. Many Asians, and African Americans are winters. Natural white blondes may also be winters.
Winter celebrities include: Alicia Keys, Rosario Dawson and Kristin Kreuk.
Winter colours are intense and high contrast and so is the winter colour palette. It contains the primary colours and jewel tones such as ruby red, sapphire blue, and emerald green. Snow white and jet black look fabulous on a winter, especially worn together for high contrast. Winters should wear colours that are sharp, stark and clear. White, black, navy blue, red and shocking pink all go well with winter complexions. For lighter colors, wear icy tones such as cool blues, pinks and yellows rather than pastels. Avoid subdued tones like beige, orange and gold. They will make you look faded and ashen."
And while I *do* identify with the said celebrities, I can't help but be bothered to think that I'm something else as I hate wearing jewel tones and love subdued tones--beige, orange and gold happen to be some of my favorite colors. I think I may be an "Autumn". Anyone care to contest? Or better yet, who do I remind you more of:
Rosario Dawson or
Aishwarya Rai? :)
Though, if I were to believe all this shit, then I'm supposed to wear
M-shaped-friendly clothes in these colors:
Oh well. That *should* make shopping a whole lot easier.
