Our friend Frank died suddenly of a heart attack. He's my niece Isabel's godfather. He left a wife, daughter and son, an autistic boy who won't entirely understand.
Frank took me to soccer matches and told me about state and local politics here in California. He won a Pulitzer Prize for journalism some years back. I'm shocked. I've known his wife for twenty years. She introduced me and my sister to my brother-in-law.
