HPU Update
Ok.... so here's a quick overview of what's new:
-I got a job tutoring kids with reading, writing, and math at the local Elementary School. They're paying me 20 dollars an hour and I only have to work Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
-I was a HoBo for Halloween and HPU took over Planet Hollywood for a big party which was fun. For Haunted Halls (the seasonal Dorm competition) Lehua (my Dorm) got a strobe light and did Thriller. We won.
-I went skydiving for my birthday. I have now completed my arial life goals.
-A guy upstairs who I've been on a couple dates with thought I wasn't paying attention to him when I ate dinner at the DC with another guy who is across the hall from him. He then punched his bed post repeatedly. His hands are now swelled and he cannot hold a pencil.
-My roomate is still driving me insane.
-No one goes to the HPU Girls' Volleyball games so now the school is taking us out for free food so we'll go to the games (the bus we take to the restaraunt brings us to the game afterward so there's no escaping it). Tonight they are taking us to Hard Rock Cafe.
-Kate Hudson, Dog the Bounty Hunter, and the cast from Lost are around, usually at the Beach or wandering around the city.
-Mike called me from California the other day. I don't think he's contacted anyone else apart from his family so for anyone who is wondering; he's doing well, liking California, but won't be back for Christmas.
-Rainy season is starting (it lasts for almost all of November I guess) so the weather isn't overly fantastic. But the waves are getting quite large so the surf is awesome. It'll get hot and dry again in December.
-We have no Daylight Savings Time in Hawaii so I am only 5 hours behind the East Coast now.
-I got SVU Season 2 on DVD. Excitement.
-Mid terms are over. I did well on all of them.
-A kid upstairs, Carlos, and I have started a club where we will incorporate all sorts of fun things like philosophy, inventions, Waikiki performers, and the like. I'll explain more once we get further into it.
-My iPod battery is crap so I need to bring it to the Apple store and they will give me a new one. myTunes Redux is amazing.
That's about it. I'll be home in 39 days!
