(no subject)

Okkkkk so I really am trying to update this thing, but this will be long so skip it if you're not in the mood to read.

I would like to start off by saying that Hawaii is beyond amazing.

But, from the beginning...

So my last couple days on the East Coast I spent packing and then I woke up very early Friday to go to the airport. I flew Delta which was a pretty good airline and, even better, I got to fly First Class. My flight left Boston and landed in Cincinatti, OH. On the flight, the man I was sitting next to was an off-duty pilot and I asked him questions about plane crashes and lost luggage and such. that section was about a three hour flight. I then switched to another flight which flew directly into Honolulu. That was about 10 hours, and soooo painful because I got a broken chair which wouldn't recline at all. The lady next to me was really nice and she asked my major and I told her Criminal Psychology and she just randomly pulled a book out of her purse that's all about that subject and she gave it to me. It was kind of weird but really nice. The plane food wasn't too bad but sitting just got painful after a while. After the 13 hours on planes we finally landed in Honolulu and we took a shuttle thing to a hotel where I stayed Friday night and Saturday. It has a nice beach lookout and you could see everyone surfing.

Sunday morning I got up early again and re-packed all of my suitcases and moved into my dorm. My room is set up so that I have one roomate and then there is a bathroom between dorm rooms, and this bathroom connects to another dorm room with three people in it. My roomate is from Hawai'i s she hasn't spent much time here because she's been going back and forth from her house. The three girls that I share the bathroom with are nice. Two are really cool, one is from New Mexico and one is from Minneasota. The other is from California but she just kind of put her stuff down and left, I'm not sure where to.

Unpacking was not overly fun and I had to buy some stuff from the store which was huge and really busy, like packed. But I am now all unpacked and I have all my pictures up and I have my Hace Frio Trio scrapbook propped up and opened to the IHOP page on my desk next to my computer. I have wireless Internet now which is nice because I can be outside with my computer typing this. The view is really pretty, words don't do it justice. The dorm buildings are all new and the rooms themselves are surprisingly big for dorm rooms. Tomorrow starts Orientation but I didn't sign up for any of the activities tomorrow so I'm going to go into Honolulu with a couple of my roomates and I'm going to the bookstore and a guy from the floor above me needs help picking out a beadspread so I said I'd help him. Tonight there is a movie on the lawn which I think is going to be 50 First Dates, so I think I will watch it.

My dorm building is right next to the Dining Commons and the workout room which I am all sorts of happy about. There aren't many bugs luckily, though someone said wild boars come down from the mountains. Tomorrow I am going into the city campus where I will buy my books.

So that is about it for now, feel free to e-mail or IM me anytime, though because of the time difference I am rarely online when the East Coast is. I'll post the link to my photo album within the next couple days.

Keep on fro-ing kids!
