Books and programmes
Remember two weeks ago when I waxed rhapsodic about Guys and Dolls? Well, when I was there, they had no souvenir brochures, and being as how I collect these, I decided to take up their offer to order one. Well, as I said, it's been two weeks, and there's been no sign of it. So, today I got on the phone to the theatre to ask for an explanation, and the nice man said that it would be chased up, and hopefully the problem resolved. Good. Feeling better now.
I notice that the Norse text I ordered, which I didn't really want at all, turned up offensively fast. Bloody life.
Having just finished Flashman and the Mountain of Light, I am panting to read Flashman and the Redskins. I sha'n't, however, until I have read The Silmarillion. I should give Tolkien's elves another chance, instead of just dismissing them and concentrating on the splendid and noble dwarves.
