This is it - My first entry using my brand new high-speed Internet connection! I decided that Sheila shouldn't be the only one to experience such a wonderful advance in technology, so I went to Circuit City and picked up one of those Wireless-G USB adapters for $40 after rebate. It turns out that the thing is so damn good that it can actually pick up the Internet signal coming from Sheila's apartment, which is across the hall and up a flight of stairs! And while I couldn't really afford it, I'm saving money by cancelling my dial-up Internet service, and also my home phone line. Yes, my poor home phone line is biting the dust, but at least I'll still have my cell phone. I suppose it's about time I figured out how to use it.
Apart from that, there's not too much exciting right now. We rented Sin City this past weekend, which I actually liked, even though I thought it would suck.
This is an amazingly short entry - especially for me - but I've still got to eat breakfast and get ready for work.
And here's a fun puzzle from npr.org: In a standard 4 by 4 magic square you arrange the digits from one to sixteen so each row, column and corner digital totals 34. This is a multiplication magic square: Arrange sixteen numbers in a four by four square so that the product of each row, column and corner to corner diagonal is 5,040. You can use any numbers you want. But they have to be whole numbers and you can’t repeat a number in the square. (And as a hint I’ll tell you the number in the upper left corner is 42.)
