Some of my friends here at LiveJournal are dealing with some unfortunate issues. I've written and advised them on possible ways to make things more secure, but wish I could offer even more support. (Thankfully LiveJournal has a number of options that help us to better protect ourselves. I had my own issues with a past account that I ended up deleting, so I'm far better informed now.)
I might have neglected to mention to these friends that they can minimize spidering by bots with one minor change, so I'll need to remember to do that ...
I find I'm using this current blog primarily as a virtual notepad and filing cabinet. It's quite handy when I'm out and about to be able to lay my hands on things here simply by logging in at LJ.
As for pleasure, I'm finding my current cyber moderation duties very enjoyable. I'm going to tackle some more tutorials in the future and continue to share my experience and knowledge with others. So far, so good.
The cyber world has both issues and pleasures. Happily more pleasures than issues. (At least for me.)
