In a moment of Wild Abandon -- or perhaps Whimsical Boredom -- I've decided to place a prelminary entry here, months after I opened the account (one of the free ones, obtained because I'm a Galactic Observer by nature, and want to read what some of my friends & acquaintances are publishing in their LJs) partly because I'm wondering about the 75 comments that people tried to post to it. Later on, I might emulate Tristram Shandy -- though I hope not, because there are so many other things that need to be done. So far, viewing the spellcheck version, it looks as though there maybe be an incompatability problem between my Macintosh and LJ's version of ASCII, but there's probably a work-around.
