A Good Day
Despite feeling under the weather for most of it. The weather itself was good, and the storm I've been reacting to isn't due until Thursday, so maybe I'm adjusting. But I really wish it would stop now. :P
As expected, I'm kind of focusing a bit on getting the OneNote Subs Record "Notebook" done, but I did get through chapter 13 of Charms. Did some major butchering (nearly 800 words), but it's still an awful long "interlude" for where it's placed. I'll be going through it again and maybe I can find some more cuts that won't kill it entirely. Not holding my breath though. As for the Subs Record, I still need to figure out how to get what I want for my overview/cover section. No one's come forward with the know how as of yet, so I suspect I'll have to trawl through templates, find something similar, then modify it to death and hope it stays pretty. The big problem with making what I want on my own is that it just makes a mess. I even tried transferring my original document like I did with the individual story record, but it just doesn't translate well. I will eventually figure something out. In the meantime, I'm getting the individual records transferred in, which is time consuming since they have to be done by hand.
But I was good and got other things done....

Really, today will be more of the same other than an unexpected grocery trip. I was supposed to pay part of another bill, but we're getting so low on some staples, that I decided against it. We have to make it to the 4th, and we just don't have the food for that right now. We can do $50-$70 shopping trips for two weeks if things like rice, potatoes, cereal, and other non-perishable staples are stocked. If those are low, then it's much harder. So, once Chase releases the rest of my money, I'll be going in and buying some of those things we're missing, probably stopping by the farmer's market for a few extra meats (we've got maybe 4 meals that will have actual meat in them at the moment) as well.
As for the rest....

There's a really good chance I'll be off the computer most of the evening-Chef has major homework to get done. Again. Still. Yea. I need to be on Thursday for Admin stuff, but I'm not sure exactly when that will happen. Hopefully some time in the afternoon. Chef is off that day, so we'll see.
Yea, his hours have us worried. They don't pick up again soon, we're looking at problems with the rent next month. Hell, we're probably looking at problems anyway. And Chef is freaking out about the cell bill. I'm sure somehow we'll manage, just not sure how yet.
I did get a response from a small press to allow me to test if I want to, but they apparently publish A LOT of erotica and I'm not quite sure I'm up to that task. I'm thinking about it, and no one else is hiring so I may give it shot. In the meantime, I'm still cold contacting small presses, most of which ignore me entirely.
Anyway, off to get the usual things done.
