I have been writing - working a bit on my Randi Kayde series, I just haven't been typing it. It's something I'm taking my time exploring right now, developing characters and plotlines on paper by hand during some of my free time at work (when I actually have free time). Since it's all by hand, no actual word counts to share yet, but that's okay. I've been wanting to develop this idea since the Anita blake novels started going sour for me (around the 4th or 5th book, I believe) and it's nice to feel like I can at least begin to develop my ideas for it.
What I'm beginning to realize now is that I need time to play with and develop my novel ideas before I can actually sit down and even work with them in npb. I have to develop the ideas outside the whole novel writing experience first, then build them as novels. This is something I hope to explore more in
dreaming in ink (my journal, not the writing workshop) one of these days soon.
But not right now. Need to spend some snuggle time with the husband before I shower and pass out - tomorrow I work at a high school and have to be out of the house by 6:40 am.
Ug.
