Kitten cost us over $500 in vet bills to take care of a serious UTI not too long ago. Since then, the poor boy is on a special diet and isn't supposed to get treats.
Well, we all know mamas of kittens can't not give them treats, but we have cut back on the treatness. We really don't him or our wallet to go through the whole ordeal again or, worse, have to go through surgery. That being said, he usually gets a bit of shrimp from mama's plate when we do the Chinese food thing. It's just a bit and it's steamed shrimp, nothing with all the sauce and stuff (which I usually take off the food for him anyway).
Today, he decided his two bites wasn't enough and has resorted to BEGGING in more aggressive manner than usual for him. Usually he sits nearby and looks all pretty at me. (Those who have cats know that all pretty look!) Today he's wandering around my feet, occasionally putting a paw on my leg or knee as if to remind me he's there and still interested.
It's so hard to say no, but I. Must. Resist. The. Kitten!
