So the hope was that I'd get to spend this week getting into routine and just kinda settling. Nope. I completely forgot that Chef has his graduation ceremony on Saturday and a family dinner, including Chef's dad (visiting from Cali), on Sunday. This week is going to be crazy deep cleaning on top of the usual and getting the boxes hidden somewhere, Friday will be major shopping and prep work, Saturday is the ceremony and dinner out (as a grad gift) with friends, and Sunday is crazy with finishing up prep and holding the dinner. Yea, that's routine...NOT!
So, yea, it's going to be a busy week.
As for this past week, didn't get everything done but still plowed through an amazing amount of stuff, most of it related to the move. By the weekend, I was tired and really seemed to need to unwind, but I'm one of those people who can't just sit and do nothing. And for me, just watching TV is doing nothing. lol I did finally get some words down, but I pretty much had to focus only on writing and not doing much of anything else, and every word was a slog. And even with everything I did get done, there was quite a bit I either didn't get to (exercise, which was mostly a mood thing-with so much to do, I just couldn't get myself in the place to just do it; that changes this week) or didn't finish completely. Not really all that different than any other week, I guess. lol
It was nice to have no crises kick up over the week. :)
Anyway, numbers....

» weight loss :: goal: 24 lbs in 2012; -160 overall; last week: -.8; total: -8.6 this year, -38.8 overall
I actually lost a bit more by mid-week, then bounced back up (story of my life), and expect another bounce up at the beginning of this week because of the lack of the other exercise. House cleaning and all that is definitely more than what I used to do, but it's still not enough to help me get the weight off.
And I'm on a bit of a time crunch to get that weight off. I thought my OBGYN at Kaiser had given me a one year prescription of the medroxy. Even if she did, it translated to 3 months over at Wal-Mart. I'm going to spread that out by taking them every other day and hoping they still work to keep me from bleeding to death, but I've got to get my weight down enough to not need them. I honestly don't think we can afford an OBGYN appointment, and we make too much money now for any of the financial help that may be out there. So, really hoping I can lose enough to make it a non-issue.
This week is going to be problematic in a few ways: we had under $100 for food, so not a whole lot of snack foods, much less healthy snack foods (and because of my ulcer, I'm supposed to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day, so I can't go without some kind of snack), then at the end of the week, we're looking at a full on tasting menu from Chef that's going to blow any calorie budget away. Definitely need to get back on that exercise habit. :P
One the one hand, I'm kinda worried because of my current up and down history and whether or not I can lose enough; on the other hand, hopefully things will be more stable now, and we're in a healthier environment, so hopefully I can finally get focused and do what I need to do. Just have to keep in mind the stakes, I suppose, and hope that helps keep me motivated. :)

Silence I'm still reading a bit of Game of Thrones every day on the laptop (and a bit would be the key words there, usually not more than a chapter, so it's going to take me a long while to get through), but I ended up switching from The Drowning City to The Heroes because someone suggested it as a good book where politics are well written and I have politics in one of my current projects. Honestly not enjoying Heroes as much as I was City, but I'm hoping to see how to work in the necessary politics into my novel without boring people to death. It's a pretty hefty book, but I'm making decent progress (just started yesterday, I think), so hopefully I'll be back to City soon.
And I still haven't touched the paperbacks sitting by my bed. Go figure.
Obviously another busy week with almost as many extras as usuals. Not really trimming anything off. Just hoping I can be as productive this week as I was last.
