The esteemed Misses Cay and Jodie Mental Esq, "Kinky" Matt and James the Doorboy (London's first fully ordained door person!) cordially request your attendance at the next CLUB MENTAL! being held at Lark in the Park, Copenhagen Street, Islington, N1 on the 30th June-that's tomorrow night foks! between the hours of 7pm and 2am. In celebration of the fact that this is the last day in which it is legal to smoke in our green and pleasant land, we may hand out a free cigarette with every entry. If we can afford it that is. Which is looking increasingly unlikely.
We shall be charging a small doortax of £3 British Sterling and will be showcasing the musical stylings of:
The New Royal Family (Featuring members of The Boyfriends, Gay Dad and Luxembourg-and who very much like their chocolate digestives)
The Mystery Fax Machine Orchestra (A chamber ensemble with a difference, and who have recently been showcased at overly amusing comedy night The Book Club)
Hundreds, Tens and Units (Riotous, messy, energetic pop)
Along with the usual mix of games, DJ'ing, Cay Mental getting drunk and disorderly and the kind of japes that has already managed to get us banned from one London venue.
