Adventures in the City

My cousin had season tickets to the NY Liberty home games @ MSG. She couldn't make this game, so she offered them to my sister.

So me being the one with the car had to drive out to Long Island to get the tickets. That being done, I had then drove my mom and my sister to Madison Square Garden - on 34th Street and 7th Ave. Perhaps one of the busiest intersections in all of NYC, save for 34th Street @ Herald Square, where 6th Ave & Broadway meet.

Going to the city, I took the Battery Tunnel - a $3.50 toll with EZPass. But on the way home, I decided to take one of the East River Bridges and just hop on the BQE - a free ride.

So I'm going down the FDR (mind you, I drove CROSSTOWN via 34th Street - not fun) and I see the exit for the Manhattan Bridge. Coolots. Take that. Driving along South Street....and there's a sign directing to the Manhattan Bridge.

Too bad there's a cop standing there directing me to continue straight ahead. Now seem I don't know my way too well..but I have the FDR above me, so I know I'm still good. Continue going...and oops, missed that sign for the Manhattan Bridge. Keep going, no big deal, can take the Brooklyn Bridge. Unfortunately, I don't see anything about the BB. So I keep going and the FDR ends...and there's the entrance to FDR north! YAY!

So I found it...and the Brooklyn Bridge. It was soo cool going over the Bridge.

So yeah. I can drive in Manhattan. Which means, I can drive anywhere.
