Irritated at Fry's
I'm planning to get a new computer so I can play StarCraft II when it comes out, so I started browsing Fry's online store. I found the model I liked last week, and then placed my online order today for pick up. About 20 minutes later I get a call from the store saying that they are actually out. :( All of the other local stores are out too, and the same model is $50-$100 more elsewhere.
So I poked around some more and found my second choice -- but all the local Fry's are out of that one too. Grrrr. So now I'm thinking about buying it from Best Buy, even though their prices are generally higher.
On the bright side, I finally settled on my new set of PC speakers, and then discovered that Amazon has them for $35 less than Best Buy, with free shipping, PLUS a $30 rebate from the manufacturer for buying them this week. Woot!
Non-sequiter: the gf doesn't like it when I beat her at chess.
