Lots o' Rain

I'm actually pretty cheerful today - w- I went shopping yesterday, got a lot of cute stuff for Megacon and otherwise~
I bought those Korean nail stamps yesterday: http://www.konadnailart.com/
They work pretty awesome...if you know how to do it....which I don't oTL the instructions are so freakin' VAGUE. And you have to do everything uber fast, which I can't seem to do. I'm practising, but wasting alot of nailpolish and remover in the process. I need to go to Sally's today and get red polish - w- The pack came with white > 3< Also gunna see if I can find a cheap curling iron or curlers...I love my straight hair, but it's so...FLAT - 3-

Anyway, I don't know why, but I was thinking about my fave movie this morning: A Little Princess o wo I LOVE that movie. I have loved that movie since I was 8 years old XD The first time I saw it, it was at a birthday party for some girl who hated me. My school had this rule where if a student was having a birthday party, they couldn't pass out invitations at school unless they invited EVERYONE (so no child feels left out). So I got invited, even though none of those girls liked me at all, and picked on me all the time. My mom made me go...but anyway, they were showing the movie at the party, but the rest of the girls went off to play who knows what without me, so I just watched the movie. At the time I cried so hard!! And you know what, even after 14 years, and watching it over 20 times, I STILL cry. EVERY TIME XD

I do belive this could be what spawned my love for lolita, without even knowing it XD Seriously, it has everything I love <3 Cute outfits, cute children, it's set in the early 1900s, Indian stories and outfits, etc etc <3 <3 I saw the dvd at wal-mart the other day for $5 @__@ I didn't have any money at the time, but my roomate ended up buying it. But I think eventually I would like to have my own copy > w< I usually catch it when it comes on TV - w-;;

Speaking of movies though...even though it wasn't very good, I appreciated A Series of Unfortunate Events - w- <3

This movie could have been much more awesome, but I really think Jim Carrey ruined it for me. It was more about him, than the children...And omg the children they got to play the Baudelaire children were all freakin' BEAUTIFUL <3 At first, immediately, I fell in love with Violet~ My gawd, she is SO PRETTY!! (I don't remember the actress's name...). She's got those cute asian-esque eyes, and those freakin' adorable lips <3 <3 <3 BAH! But then I noticed, dear gawd, the boy is just as CUTE. And of course the little girl is just one of the cutest toddlers I have ever seen *sparkles* So other than the children being beautiful, the outfits were awesome @ w @ Violet's dress = LOVE
In general though, I really liked how everything LOOKED. The movie was more eye candy than anything else, but I'm okay with that XD Plus I love these books~

I feel the same way about A Series of Unfortunate Events as I do with the new Alice in Wonderland movie. I saw it last week (I'm going to see it again today with Goria) and I'm actually really glad I didn't pay for it XD I don't really like to go to the movies very much, but my parents took me. Personally, I didn't like it very much. I mean, I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. It was pretty blah actually. BUT, I LOVED how everything looked * w * I loved about 90% of Alice's outfits, I loved the Queen of Hearts despite her freakish head (which I think she could have done with out, but might have lost some of the comedy = w=;;) but I really didn't like the story very much. Not cause it didn't follow Alice in Wonderland or Through the Looking Glass, but because it was fast in the wrong places, and slow in the wrong places, and the ending was so wtf -____-

Anyway, that was my lil' movie ramble -w-
