With the usual 'I haven't played Final Fantasy XII and am only fleetingly familiar with the characters' disclaimer: Very pretty. If they were a trading card game I would buy them try to get someone I know to buy them. I think I like Fool, Magician, Chariot and Hermit best.

Thanks! Now that you mention it, they kinda remind me of Magic: The Gathering cards. Heh.

Be not angered, good hermit...

Heeh, I had totally forgotten my own LJ name. I picked that one when I started my LJ and never changed it.

You know what, I think maybe I'm taking the hermit tarot icon now. Tell me who that is in the game?

Oh! Now I wished he was a more prominent character in the game. "The Hermit" is Marquis Halim Ondore IV and he, um, secretly supports the resistance while giving lip service to the empire (like declaring two of the main characters dead when they are aren't). I guess it's like if Princess Leia had a rich uncle with a vaguely Indian accent and a magic rock mine-city thing floating in the sky. Here's his Final Fantasy wiki entry.

It was kinda funny, I thought, "hmmm, didn't ashenmote have a hermit somewhere?" And then I saw your name. Heh.

Oh, it's not important if he is important within the game. I just wanted to make sure I'm fully aware of the messages the icon delivers. You know, like, if he was renown for biting off the heads of cute bunnies or something, I'd rather not use it for a "I'm sorry your pet died" comment. That sort of thing.

He sounds pretty cool. And I like floating mining cities. Though that part sounds more like Lando than like uncle Organa. :)
