One thing instructors forget when recommending a firearm is hand-strength.
If one elects to carry a semi-automatic pistol, one has to have the strength to repeatedly rack the slide of the firearm.
I’d estimate that 25% of women I taught, could not operate a semiautomatic.
Women should never let the man in their life to buy them a pistol that they have not tried before purchase.
Revolvers are not always the solution. Most stock snubbys have a heavy double action trigger pull. Usually a lawyer-approved 19 lbs. some women do not have the hand strength to operate a revolver.
Carry what you can comfortably shoot accurately. If that is a .22, carry a .22
