Martin, 88, passed away March 17, 2006, at the Caribou Rehab and Nursing Home. She was born July 15, 1917, at Caswell, the daughter of Baptiste and Elizabeth (LaPointe) Parent. She lived her entire life in Limestone. She was a very active member of St. Louis Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. During the summer, when flowers were ready, she would take fresh flowers to the church each week. Her special joy was cooking. She took great pleasure in putting out delicious meals for her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 71 years, Kenneth Martin of Caribou; three daughters, Sylvia and her husband, Maurice White, of Castle Hill; Gloria and her husband, Charlie Watson, of Florida and Doria Martin of Roonoke, Ill. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons; as well as many nieces and nephews and one very special nephew, Father Pat. She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, Amanda and Emma; and one brother, Lawrence. Friends may call 10 a.m. until time of services Monday, March 20, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial. Spring interment will take place in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
