...I'm now a little weirded out. Anyone who still reads this thing might remember that I got an anonymous bouquet of flowers right after Valentine's Day. I thought it was sweet, and the message on the card made it sound like they would be from any of a few friends of mine because of an inside joke, so I was neither weirded out nor skeeved. Yay for flowers! I like flowers! Whee!
Today, another bouquet shows up, only these are ROSES, a full dozen. (But no vase or little picture frame like last time.) It's from a different florist (1-800-FLOWERS instead of a local florist) and this time, on the card there is...
Nothing. No message, no description of intent, no "Enjoy!" Just a blank card and a dozen roses.
Different M.O. entirely.
So either I have TWO anonymous flower-givers or my single flower-giver likes mixing it up.
I honestly don't know what to think. There's one man in my life right now who was Suspect #1 for these flowers, but he definitely would have signed his name.
I really don't know what to think. Well, of course I'm thinking, "Yay! Flowers are pretty!" And, make no mistake, these roses are GORGEOUS (even though I trimmed them TOTALLY wrong and now they're stout and lopsided) but...
I don't know.
I am perhaps just a titch skeeved out. Why wouldn't they sign their name? Or at least state some sort of purpose? I don't know. Am I overreacting?
Please come forward, anonymous flower-provider! Because I am very, very confused...
UPDATE: I just got a response from 1-800-FLOWERS.

Blah blah blahbity cakes. So we'll see if our secret admirer wishes to be known.
LAST UPDATE: My Secret Admirer did a good thing for my peace of mind and I got a call this morning from the flower company to tell me who it is. Said person is a good friend and is fantastic and wonderful and deserves the biggest thank-you ever. Now I can enjoy my flowers in peace. :)
