Driving on
Well after my last post, where I had lost by getting only second place. I came back to win first at an impressive invitational. Four fights. One a choke, 2 hold downs, and the last one a poor ko-soto-gari (type of throw). I only got half a point, which is a good score, but I am not sure it was worth that much. But I am not the judge, and no one threw a flag on it, so I will accept it. My mind is every whaere but the mat these days. My couch is drilling me about not putting my focus into my matches. But how can I? It is all I can do to stay sane these days.
Kevin is coming over next week to spend ten days with me. I am looking forward to that. I need the company right now. There are no big events happening during that time, so I can spend most of it with him. Maybe this break will give me a better focus when I return.
