He really needed to get that scooter. Taxis were just too slow for his liking; however, getting pulled over for speeding would likely stall him even more, so riding in the taxi wasn't so bad.
With that in mind, Malik tried not to fidget in anticipation as he read off the directions to the taxi driver - why he even had to, he didn't know. Weren't taxi drivers supposed to know every area their customers wanted to get to? Oh well. He was nearing the bottom of his printed list, so it wouldn't be long before he could see his boyfriend again.
He almost jumped out of the cab as it finally pulled up in front of Ryou's house, and he somehow managed to keep himself from sprinting up to the door. As he knocked on the door, he hoped Ryou was still there alone. It'd be interesting to explain to his father that he'd be kidnapping his son for a few eons...
As soon as Malik had gotten off of AIM, Ryou dashed to his bedroom excitedly and dug out his suitcase which was, sadly, already packed up for Malik's having been waiting for this night all week long. Besides, that way if he was ready, he figured, then he would just have to wait for Malik to pull up and they could leave which is what Ryou had been dying to do to get back to the male. Staying home alone Ryou usually enjoyed but anymore...
Malik being near was more than perfect. In fact, he would've rather been with the male every single day than ever be alone at home. Besides, without Diabound and Bakura, it just wasn't the same being home and all too quiet for his liking. He hated to admit it but he was dying to see both of his Brothers again even if Bakura had only been away a little while. Things just...weren't the same.
And in fact, it had been even longer since Ryou had seen Bakura meaning he was going to have to FORCE his Brother to see him when he returned. He hated to be the weakest link of the three and always be the one to worry and fawn over his Brothers but...
Sometimes, he just wished they'd think more about -him- and being careful. They had to know he needed them, after all, even in college, that hadn't changed much. His Brothers were his Brothers and ever since the death of their Mom, he had always been the one to attempt to keep the house livable.
Stepping into his shoes and tugging on a light grey track jacket over his dark tee, he zipped it up and grabbed his suitcase, walking out to the living room to wait for his boyfriend's knock. Sitting down on the sofa in apprehension, he gave a sigh, glancing to the window, just dying to be blinded by headlights so he could see his boyfriend. It was pathetic, he knew, but without Malik, it had been a long week. It almost made him feel...that weird way he had felt before...
As a knock came, Ryou abruptly jumped out of his seat and dashed to the front door, swinging it open with a hazy grin as he saw the sight of the person he had almost died missing. Arms immediately swinging around him, he pressed a rough kiss to his chin, squeezing him close.
"Malik!" he yelped out, nuzzling close to the male, murmuring into his neck. "Missed you so much, jerk... How could you let me let myself stay here for so long without seeing you?"
As the life was nearly squeezed out of him, Malik's arms folded around his boyfriend, a wide grin breaking out on his face. "I do it just to torture you," he said, chin nuzzling the shorter boy's head, "because they say absence makes the heart grow fonder... or something like that." He made a mental note to stop quoting so many proverbs. He'd been doing that a lot lately.
But he pulled back slightly to look down at the other's face, hand tilting up Ryou's chin. "You ready to go? Or do I even have to ask?"
As he was embraced right back, that warmth that had seemed almost impossible to regain had come back tenfold, washing throughout him. To Ryou, there never was quite anything like being in Malik's arms. In fact, right then, he practically melted in the embrace, turning himself into Ryou-goo at that strange feeling...
The feeling of being loved.
Feeling the chin, his eyes closed in mirth and he let his hold die a little to make the other more comfortable knowing and a bit embarassed at the fact that he was practically squeezing the life out of the male. "I think...you should not do it again. Don't like torture..." he mumbled, head attempting to lift to peer up at the face he had missed so horribly.
As his eyes met the other's, he gave a bright smile, leaning up to kiss the male's lips warmly, laughing into it some. "No, no need to ask. I'll grab my bag and I'm done." Letting go of the other reluctantly, he padded into the living room and made his way to the off-white sofa, hand picking up his suitcase. "You even made it here without melting. I'm so proud!" Giving him a warm peer, he made his way back to the doorway, eagerly awaiting to leave.
Malik's grin faded into a soft smile as he took the suitcase from Ryou's hands, latching his other arm around his boyfriend's shoulders. "Yep. I'm getting better about not melting," he said, as he led Ryou back toward the waiting cab.
As the suitcase was taken from his hands, Ryou gave a smile, kissing at the corner of his boyfriend's cheek. "Then I guess I'll just have to find something better to say to make you melt just as badly again, won't I? After all, I can't have you beat me at the 'staying in a solid state' game." As the walked to the Taxi, his head rested itself upon Malik's shoulder, so glad to be back where he loved it most.
A short while later, Malik was unlocking the door to his apartment. It had taken all of his willpower to keep from making out with Ryou in the back seat of the cab, if only for the sake of the cab driver - thankfully, he'd just been content with enjoying Ryou's company. Being separated from him was no fun at all, and now they'd be able to make up for it without anyone watching them. Privacy was a very nice thing.
"It's not much, but I like calling it home," Malik said, flicking on the lights. The apartment was rather simple; there were no fancy decorations, and everything was in shades of black, white, and grey. "When I'm not in the dorms, that is..." He set Ryou's suitcase down on the floor, turning to smile at him again.
Once they arrived at the apartment, Ryou got out and attempted to get his suitcase but once again Malik beat him to it. He felt a bit mean having Malik carry it for him when he could've so easily taken it himself. Either way, it was just one more thing that made Malik so perfect. Shutting the trunk, he followed Malik to the apartment, stepping in and removing his shoes at once. As the lights flickered, Ryou smiled as his eyes met the apartment finding it fit the male very well. He liked it and he decided it was so perfect that leaving would never, ever be necessary. "I like it a lot. I think it fits you," he told the other keenly, hand immediately reaching for Malik's, soft chocolate orbs peering lovingly into the male's. Eyes closing, he attempted to lean up for a warm kiss, wanting to get exactly what he had missed most; Malik's affection for him.
"Ahn...if you have cream puffs stashed away here, it could possibly be the best place I've ever been at."
Malik's eyes slid shut as he returned the kiss, arms curling around the other's slim waist. He smirked a bit as it broke off, and he reached up, scratching at his chin in mock contemplation. "Well, I don't at the moment, but I do need to go grocery shopping tomorrow, so~... I just might have to pick some up."
As the kiss was returned, Ryou's eyes closed in happiness, bringing himself a little closer into his boyfriend's hold. As the other's fingers grazed over the male's chin, Ryou couldn't help but smile at the cute action, leaning forward to rest his head upon the male's shoulder, peering up to him adoringly. "Mm, that's okay, I guess I could live without them for tonight."
His hands rested on Ryou's shoulders as he started moving forward, pushing the younger one back toward his couch. "Y'know, Ry... I missed you a lot. Even if we were only seperated for... what, a week? Meh, it was too long. I believe there's a little bit of... making up for lost time to do, don't you think?" Malik's hands gently rubbed Ryou's shoulders as they moved, eyes gazing down into the brown depths he hadn't seen in a week. "Only if you think so too, of course~..."
Ryou's head lifted as his body began to be pushed backward gently backward, feet pivoting to meet Malik's movements. Before he knew it, he was falling backward timidly onto the couch, a soft giggle leaving him, arms immediately curling around Malik's neck. "A week is a long time to me. It's one week I never want to be away from you again..." He countered gently, leaning up to kiss at the male's chin. Grinning, he gave a gentle nod, leg lightly curling around Malik's lithe frame. "Definitely have a little bit of catching up to do."
Malik firmly planted his hands on Ryou's waist as he kneeled down on the couch, burying his face in his boyfriend's shoulder. "Heh... we're kinda sad, aren't we? We're separated from each other for more than three days and we start going into withdrawals," he muttered, pressing his lips to the other's throat. One of Malik's hands started to gently rub up and down Ryou's side as he moved up, kissing the area directly underneath his ear.
Ryou giggled softly at his boyfriend's words, giving a slight shrug. "I don't know...I don't think it's sad. I like miss you so much, in a way. It's just so unbelievable to me that you can even feel so strongly for someone else, you know?" Fingers lightly etching into the male's shoulder blade, his eyes closed at the throat kisses, letting himself endulge in that feeling he had been missing all week long. God, he had no idea how he had gone without Malik for a week, gone from all the affection. Right now, he was too busy endulging to care, so hungry for his boyfriend's love.
"But you're here now, and that's what matters. And just so you know, I don't plan on letting you leave anytime soon." He reached up, playfully poking the pale boy's nose. "You, my dear Ryou, are mine." With that, Malik crushed his lips to the other's again in a deep kiss, hand trailing back to grip at white strands of hair.
Shivering as lips pressed closer to sensitive spots, Ryou's eyes opened, peering hazily down at the male he had missed so much. Never again was he going to be without him like that; never. "Ahn...you don't know...how many times I thought about leaving because of you," he breathed antagonizingly, foot lightly nudging Malik's leg. At the poke of his nose, Ryou gave a warm smile, nose wrinkling. "I know and I hope that never changes. I don't think...I could ever live with being out of your life again..." His eyes fell shut once again as warm lips pressed against his own, letting himself be brought into a heartracing kiss, mouth opening pliantly for Malik to contol.
As he slid his tongue into Ryou's mouth, Malik pressed his body closer, wanting to feel that warmth he'd been deprived of. His arms looped around the smaller boy's waist, one hand sneaking under the back of his shirt.
This was what Malik had missed the most - just being close to his boyfriend and having those warm feelings bubble up in the pit of his stomach. He'd missed hearing Ryou giggle at his blatant dorkiness, feeling the boy curl up against his side in peaceful slumber, running his hands across his smooth skin...
He almost hated what Ryou had reduced him to, in all honesty. Malik no longer felt like the easily annoyed, prank-pulling loner he'd been for the last few years; he felt almost like a new person because of the younger one. He liked having someone to watch over and protect... it made up for all of the protective-elder-twin-ness he'd had to endure from Marik.
He finally broke the kiss off, eyes gazing intensely into Ryou's. "...I believe you said something about a shower?" he breathed, still hovering close to his boyfriend's face.
As fingers trailed beneath his shirt, Ryou gave out a soft murmur enjoying the gentle touches. As the fingers ran over the small of his back, he gave a writhe, pressing himself close to Malik. His mind began to lose it's train of thought, too distracted by the mind-numbing kiss to care about anything.
...How had he stayed away for a week again? God, he'd never know. Never ever again though; that was for sure. There had been too many empty nights spent thinking of what could've been if Malik had came to stay and it was too sad to think of.
Gasping as their kiss ended, Ryou's eyes opened half-liddedly to peer into Malik's own, giving a small smile at his boyfriend's question. "A shower...?" Pausing, he leant up to kiss at the male's chin, laughing in thought. "Kinda tired but...maybe a bath? As long as, uhm..." Biting on his lip, a blush began to spread on his cheeks. "You don't watch me get in because I know I'll die if you do?"
"...mm, yeah, that sounds better. It's more comfortable than standing up," Malik said, reluctantly pulling back. He slid off of the couch and onto his feet, stretching his back out. "And you shouldn't be ashamed about your body, Ry. I've seen it before, and I like it."
He grabbed Ryou's hands, pulling him up off of the couch. His hands trailed up to rest on the other's upper arms, gazing down at him. "But if it'll make you feel better, I won't look if you don't want me to." Malik gave him a comforting smile; Ryou seemed a little insecure about his body, though he couldn't understand why. Maybe it was just bias.
Ryou was glad his boyfriend agreed with him. After all, if Malik hadn't liked the idea, he probably would've ended up feeling stupid for bringing it up but...really, when he thought about it, taking a bath with Malik was something he really wanted to do because...it was just one more way they could be close and a way he could feel more comfortable around his boyfriend. It was so weird but Malik was someone he wanted to share and have everything shared with him. It was already so deep but in the back of his mind, he still had his worries that the closer they got, the less Malik would like about him.
Peering over to Malik with gentle russet eyes, he knew he couldn't handle the other ever leaving him behind. As the other moved to stand, Ryou scanned him and watched him stretch. After all, without Malik...life just would never be this good. At the other's comment, he felt a little better about himself, blush still hot on his cheeks. "Really..?" He said a bit uncertainly, letting himself be helped up. Smiling at his boyfriend's respectful ways, Ryou shook his head. It was something he had to get used to. He couldn't fight his insecurities over himself forever and if...Malik wanted to look, well...
He had a right to, didn't he? "No, i-it's fine...it's just weird, you know?" Giving the other a warm smile back, he reached up to press a kiss to the male's lips, eyes closing in mirth. "So, where...is the bathroom at, anyways?"
"It's this way," Malik replied, lacing his fingers together with Ryou's. He gave the other's hand a gentle tug, starting to walk toward the hallway.
When he reached the bathroom, he flicked the light on, showing that the room was colored in a similar way to the living room - or the rest of the house, for that matter. The floor had a grey-and-black checkerboard pattern, and mostly everything else was in white. Malik let go of Ryou's hand and leaned down toward the bathtub, turning on the faucet. A stream of warm water began flowing out, gradually filling up the tub.
As the tub filled, Malik straightened himself again and started pulling off his clothes, tossing his shirt into the nearby laundry basket. "This'll help you relax a bit. Just don't fall asleep in the tub," he said, winking at his boyfriend.
Ryou smiled and gave a shy nod, following his boyfriend closely. He surveyed the hall as he walked down to the bathroom, hand disconnecting with Malik's when they entered. A slight nervousness filled him but he tried to will it away. After all, this was his boyfriend and Malik loved him, right? There wasn't any reason to be weirded out by this. It was just...another thing that Malik and he could do that they could share together without anyone else knowing.
Picking up his feet one at a time, he removed his socks and then began to undo his jeans, having them to the floor once Malik began to speak. He gave a soft giggle, rolling chocolate hues. "Won't fall asleep and if I do...you wouldn't carry me to bed?" He feigned a pout, removing his jacket and shirt, setting them on his clothing pile upon the floor, left only in black boxer-briefs. "You're always -so- cruel to me..."
Taking steps closer to Malik, he pressed a warm kiss to his neck before shyly beginning to tug down his boxers, eyes closing, trying not to think about any awkwardness. After all, if Malik liked it, it wasn't really bad. "Mm...still can't believe all the things you make me do that no one else ever could.."
"... What, this?" Malik asked, eyes closing contently at the kiss. His hand reached up to tenderly stroke Ryou's shoulder. "Mmf... I'm glad you're opening up to me more, though. I really am. It makes me feel like... I dunno. Like you want me to know you inside and out." Honestly, he didn't think he knew anyone else who had ever put so much trust in him. It was a nice feeling.
Eyes opening again, he leaned down to turn off the faucet, then started to pull his own pants off. A little steam was rising up from the water, but he tentatively stepped into the tub, feeling that it was rather warm, but not too hot. It was a rather comfortable temperature; he lowered himself into the tub, resting against the back of it. "Come on in," he said, extending his hand out to Ryou. Malik made sure to close his eyes, since he told Ryou he would.
Ryou gave a soft murr, signifying a 'yes' at his question, a smile dawning his lips as a warm hand stroked at his shoulder. At Malik's reply, his heart began to swell in his chest. It always made him so happy to know he was doing something right when he was so unsure. Ryou loved opening up to Malik and letting him know things that noone else did and he never wanted to lose that.
Once his boyfriend was in the water, Ryou peered at him for a moment before meekly turning away, a small blush hinting at his cheeks as he did the same, complying to Malik's command. Shyly, he stepped into the tub and sank down beneath the water, slowly creeping to rest atop of Malik's lap, immediately attempting to get comfortable resting atop the other, sprawled out with his head rested upon Malik's chest, nuzzling close, eyes closing. As the warmth engulfed him, he gave a content sigh, smiling serenely. "Mm...you're right, I might just fall asleep, after all."
One of Malik's arms encircled the smaller boy's waist, the other reaching for a nearby sponge. "Don't worry about it if you do," he said, dunking the sponge underwater for a few moments, "I'll carry you to bed. Will I have to tuck you in and sing you a lullaby, too?" He smirked a bit at the question, not being entirely serious... though part of him actually wanted to do those things for Ryou.
He took the sponge and pressed it against Ryou's shoulder, watching as the warm water trailed down the other's arm. Malik held him closely and repeated the process, for no real reason other than he wanted to. He wanted to make Ryou feel as comfortable as possible, given the week he'd just had - so much Malik withdrawal seemed to have gotten to him; he was being a bit clingier than usual. Not that Malik was complaining at all.
As an arm wrapped about his waist, Ryou's smile only grew, sinking deeper and deeper into Malik, snuggling as close as he could, indulging in the warmth of his boyfriend's body and the hot water they were engulfed in. His eyes flicked open softly at the sound of something dunking under water, seeing a sponge in Malik's hand. His own hand reached out to brush gentle fingers over Malik's for a moment before it settled upon the male's chest, pressing a warm kiss to the damp skin. "Lullaby?" Ryou gave a wary laugh and closed his eyes again. "Mm...I bet you do have a nice singing voice so...maybe you will have to..." And though he wasn't about to admit it, Ryou almost wondered if Malik was serious. Malik seemed like he'd be a good singer and Ryou wondered whether or not Malik would ever really sing something for him just so he could see. Deep inside, he thought Malik's voice might be really beautiful...
A serene murmur left him as the sponge drifted over his shoulder, loving the affectionate touches. His fingers began to drift lightly over Malik's chest, reveling at the feel of the silky sunkissed flesh. The more Malik washed over him with the sponge, the tireder he seemed to grow, way too comfortable in his boyfriend's arms in the bathtub. Before, he would've never thought a bath with another person could be so fulfilling and relaxing but actually...he wouldn't have minded doing this every day, being able to escape to there and be in the arms of the person he loved, so...peacefully. "The more you do that...the more I want to just sleep. Feels so nice..."
A small half-smirk formed on Malik's face as he continued squeezing warm water over Ryou's shoulder, resting his chin atop the other's head. "Nah, I'm not that good. 'S why I stuck to playing the guitar. I love music, but I think if I tried singing I'd end up breaking everyone's eardrums." He especially didn't want to break Ryou's eardrums, but he had a feeling he just might have to prove that he couldn't sing.
A grin formed over his lips as he felt his boyfriend's chin atop his head, only making him more at peace. How could anyone ever be so scared of love when things like this happened where you could almost -swear- the world stopped just so you could have a perfect moment with the one you loved? "I don't believe you..." Letting out a soft sigh, toes brushing against Malik's leg, he gave another kiss to the male's neck. "I think...I'd like it if you sang to me," he breathed against his skin, pressing another kiss before settling again.
They sat there for a long time, just soaking in the gradually-cooling water; Malik eventually put the sponge away, looking at his hands. "My fingers are getting all pruny," he muttered. He nudged Ryou's head with his chin, lifting his head up. "You awake, Ry? We prolly ought to get out since the water's getting cold..."
After a while, it was true that Ryou had wallowed in the moment and, in fact, had fallen into a light doze atop his boyfriend. He hadn't really meant to but he had just been -so- comfortable he couldn't stop himself. It wasn't until he head was nudged that his eyes began to open and he shifted, realizing how cold he was getting because the temperature had gone down so much. Clinging to Malik, he gave a soft nod, cuddling close. "Mm...mh'm..." he mumbled a bit thoughtlessly, just trying to get warm, too tired for the moment to speak.
"C'mon, let's get out," Malik said, shifting around a little beneath the smaller boy. He tightened his grip around Ryou's waist before slowly standing up and stepping out of the tub, steadying the other on his feet. He pulled a fluffy black towel off of the nearby rack and handed it to Ryou. "The faster we get dried off and ready for bed, the faster we can get back to cuddling~..."
He draped another towel around his own waist and leaned down, pulling the plug on the tub. "If you didn't bring anything to sleep in, you can borrow some of my clothes, but I think you've got enough common sense to remember that." Malik blinked as he looked over at his boyfriend again. "...you look beat. You really didn't get much sleep without me, huh?" He reached up, gently brushing some damp hair out of Ryou's face.
"'Kay..." he trailed off, yet still not moving. He knew he needed to move and fast because he was freezing and only growing colder by the minute plus his weight was likely keeping Malik from getting up-or more like, it definitely was. He was about to get up when arms tightened around him and helped him to his feet, arms wrapping around himself to keep himself warm. Taking the offered towel, Ryou gave a soft nod and pulled it close, beginning to slowly dry himself off, yet he didn't get too far because he only kept it wrapped around him and was too tired and cold to dry his own hair, so he let it drip over himself.
Closing his eyes, he rested back against the bathroom wall, eyes closing, waiting for Malik to hurry up so they could go to the bedroom. His eyes fell closed again, opening when a warm hand brushed over his cheeks, making him smile slightly, leaning close to kiss the finger tips. "No...not at all. I told you..." Picking up his feet, he shuffled his way to Malik to lean against his chest, eyes closing again, trying to steal the other's body heat. "Mmph..."
As Ryou leaned against him, Malik's arm came up to wrap around his waist again. "I know... you were going through withdrawal," he said, pressing a kiss to Ryou's forehead. "If it makes you feel any better, I was too."
He stifled a yawn as he started walking toward his bedroom, gently pulling the other along with him. "Well, you're gonna sleep a lot better now that you're here with your sexy boyfriend." He lightly pushed Ryou down to sit on the bed, then detached himself from the other boy so he could get dressed.
"Seriously, I doubt I'd be able to go a day without seeing you now," Malik said, pulling on a pair of boxers, "'cause I'd be afraid that you'd start getting... that weird feeling again. The one you had before I got up to the hotel, y'know?" He decided that that was the most he'd need for sleep, and he sat down next to Ryou, draping his towel over the smaller boy's hair. He started gently rubbing the white strands with the towel, drying whatever wetness was there. "...I don't want you to feel like that anymore."
As arms wrapped themselves around him, Ryou gave a soft purr, eyes blinking up towards Malik, attempting to meet his gaze. At the male's comment, he gave a soft laugh, hugging himself closer. "It does. Alot." As the other began to walk, Ryou followed slowly, hoping the bedroom was farely close because he didn't want to have to take more than a few steps. Man! He had no idea why he was so tired but he couldn't shake it off. Taking a bath with Malik had made him lose all his energy from the evening.
When they entered the bedroom, Ryou was much too tired to look around, sitting on the bed edge, pulling the towel around himself a bit more. "Mm...I bet I will, too," he murmured softly back, eyes closing again as he leant his head forward. When soft emerald hues opened, Malik had on a pair of boxers. Ryou knew his bag was still in the living room but wasn't about to make a trip out there just to put some boxers on, oh no. What he was wearing was good enough.
Smiling as Malik began to dry his hair for him, hugging himself for warmth, he closed his eyes again, laughing. "Mm, you don't need to worry about me or that. As long as I'm with you that feeling never comes around." Though when Malik was gone and he was at home, he did feel a bit strange once again, it hadn't been as bad-not nearly.
Malik removed the towel from atop Ryou's head, tossing it down to the floor. "I'm glad." He started slowly running his fingers through the other's hair in order to straighten it out a bit; it had gotten quite rumpled while he'd dried it. "I want you to be happy, Ry. And I'm sorry you had to wait so long before seeing me again..." He wrapped his arms around Ryou's shoulders, hugging him close.
"Nnn... if I'd known you'd be so miserable, I wouldn't have even let you go back to your dad's place," Malik said, kissing the side of his boyfriend's head. "I would've brought you home with me and said to screw your dad and his family bonding time."
At the feel of fingers grazing through his milky locks, Ryou's head arched back and he gave a soft shudder, relishing in it. "Mh'm..." he trailed off, leaning back into the warm arms, nudgeing his nose against Malik's neck gently. Lightly, he kissed at the male's throat, nudging close.
Giving another soft murmur at the kiss, Ryou's eyes opened, head turning around to be able to see Malik. "It's okay, really. All that matters is I'm here now and I have no intention of going back anytime soon. My only regret is I wasted time and didn't leave sooner so we couldn't have been doing this all week long. Question though..." Giggling, Ryou leant forward and kissed his boyfriend's ear. "Can I please go to sleep now? I'm so tired and I can't cling to you comfortably if you aren't laying down..."
Malik grinned and scooted up onto the bed, tugging the covers back. "C'mon, then... you've got a little bit of sleep to catch up on, huh?" He slid down under the covers, patiently waiting for the other to join him. "We can both catch up on it now."
Watching Malik crawl to the top of the bed, Ryou moved to crawl up too, tossing off his towels to the floor. So he had nothing on and was still a little damp. Either way, he didn't care, he just wanted to get under those blankets and be close to Malik again.
Scooting under the blankets, he made to worm his way beneath them with Malik, letting his head hit the pillow. He wanted to scoot a little closer to Malik since there was a small amount of space between them but he was too tired to move currently. "You never carried me and I still didn't get my bedtime song," he muttered, curling up into a little ball beneath the blankets, attempting to warm himself.
"Mm, sorry about that," Malik said, snuggling close and draping a leg over one of Ryou's. "I kinda halfway carried you, and I can still give you your bedtime song if you wanna put your hearing at risk." He propped himself up on his elbow, resting his cheek in his palm above Ryou. His other hand came up to stroke the other's pale face as he gazed down at the younger boy, a small smile on his face. "I mean... I can't promise you'll like it, but it's the thought that counts, I guess."
"You should be." Smiling softly, Ryou purred as the male moved closer to him, draping his body around Ryou's, making Ryou warm up some within seconds. His own arm wrapped itself around Malik's shoulders, cuddling close. "It'll be good, shush," he whined, eyes lifting to meet Malik's gaze, watching him adoringly.
His smile turned to a grin as his cheek was stroked, eyes falling closed again. "Come on, it'll be good, I know it..."
"...alright." Well, it didn't look like there was any way out of this. As much as Malik hated his singing voice, he didn't want to disappoint Ryou, so it was time to pick something good.
He bit his lip in thought for a few moments, then cleared his throat and began quietly singing. "Dare yori mo fukaku kokoro made oborete... ima mo kono basho de kimi dake o mitsumete..." Malik continued to stroke Ryou's face as he sang, voice eventually tapering off into silence.
Once Malik started to sing, Ryou immediately cuddled closer, listening intently to his soft voice and the lyrics of the song, smile staying on his lips. His eyes closed and he let himself just listen, growing more comfortable by the second. He nudged up against the boy's hand warmly, smile brightening when the song ended, having absolutely loved it. "Mm...love you so much," he murmured as he began to slowly drift back to sleep once again.
Malik smiled, feeling a bit more confident in his ability; Ryou looked so happy as he lay there next to him. "Love you too," he said, leaning down to place a soft kiss on his boyfriend's lips. He turned around a bit to turn off the lamp sitting on the nightstand, then gathered Ryou into his arms again. He wasn't really that tired, but he wasn't going to deny Ryou his warmth, so he just lay there running his fingers through the other's hair, soothing him into slumber. "Get some sleep, Ry."
Ryou gently kissed Malik back and whined when the male pulled away for the light. God, right then he wished he could mold himself to Malik so their movements could be the exact same and he'd never, ever have to leave the male's side. When Malik returned, he promptly wrapped himself around the boy and made sure to stay as close as he could. "Mm, will..."
As Ryou latched onto him again, Malik reached down a bit and pulled the covers more snugly over them before returning his hand to the other's hair. He stared into the darkness of the room, just enjoying the feeling of Ryou's body pressed against his; he eventually dropped off to sleep, the song he'd sang earlier continually running through his head.
