Miho and Kaiba and Viqui, oh my

((OOC: miho_m_nosaka has a photo shoot with Viqui Leoine, one of seto_kaiba_'s business venture partners.))

If controlled chaos were the words which best described a normal photo shoot, Dictator would be the most appropriate title for Viqui Lionne. This was her chaos, and no one had best forget it as she moved through the fake grass of the little outdoor campus set constructed in the upper loft used as a studio.

"Antonio, get that light down, what do you want to do, wrinkle her? No, don't," she said, holding up a quelling hand immediately, "I don't want to hear it." Stilleto heels clicked as she worked her way through the room.

On the plus side, even her cattiest rivals admitted Viqui had a eye for fashion. Her newest designs, the ones this shoot was designed to showcase, were a spin-off of school uniforms; bad-boy-intellectual for men and coy-meets-sultry for women.

"Lisbet, angel, look," she went on, twitching down a hemline half an inch, "That's your mark, no lower, no higher, we're selling sex not smut." Moving on, Viqui arrived at her newest find, the young Miho. She was proud of this one, found the fresh face and enticing body in an entirely unlikely source, tracked down the agency representing the girl and made a deal in time for today's photo shoot.

"Settling in?" Viqui breezed at Miho, pausing in her circut around the room.

She looked up, plum colored hair pulled into 'innocent' pigtails, in which she could wrap around a find prettily. Her smile matched her personality - bright. "Of course! I'm absolutely stunned at the fact I'm here...I love what you do, Miss Lionne...I'm an absolute fan." It wasn't gushing because her tone was not simpering, but even. She wasn't brown-nosing, simply in awe of the mastermind of design before her.

"Besides, everyone here has been so kind to me, even though I've only done some small time jobs..." She said, laughing a little as she straighted the white blouse she wore. A simple short sleeved button up shirt, crisp and white which showed off the hue of her rich caramel skin which luckily didn't contrast too much with the tan and grey plaid skirt she wore - it was not a normal length school skirt, but it was not too sluttily short (which she appreciated).

"Good, darling," Viqui responded, reaching out to straighten a collar which had some slight imperfection in her mind only. "You're doing fine. If this goes well, we could be looking at some long-term work for you." With that, she breezed off toward the door with a slight cry of "Kevin! How could you be so gauche?"

She stood still when Viqui's hand came towards her, keeping her head tilted upwards perfectly. "I would really appreciate it, if I was given such a start in a career! It would be really awesome!" She said cheerfully, then watched the woman walk away with a smile.

The next few hours passed in busy activity, the hustle and noise associated with a room full of creative personalities attempting to exert their own ideas of perfect. Finally, Viqui caught sight of a tall man lounging against the doorframe, arms crossed over his long white trench coat. Her face broke into a grin and she sailed across the room with a cry of "Seto!" He smiled slightly and straightened, holding up a quelling hand as she neared Viqui's laughter pealed out with a liquid trill, and she bent her head to his.

The two exchanged some low, murmurred words, and then Viqui spun around to announce "Lunch!" to all and sundry. "Be back in an hour or I'll send the gorillias after you," she threatened, and then made a beeline straight for Miho amid the swirling press of people rushing toward the door. Kaiba followed in her wake, like an iron ship.

"Seto, here she is, my newest model," Viqui tossed over her shoulder at him, as they reached the young lady in question. "Miho Nosaka, this is Seto Kaiba, part owner in my little company. Seto, Miho." Gravely, Kiaba extended his hand. "Pleased to meet you, Miss Nosaka. Viqui was telling me about you."

Posing this way and that way - contorting herself to the pleasures of sadistic photographers...this was the life. She felt alive, bright inside from all the sparkling attention placed upon her, and it shown on her face that she was truly enjoying herself. Hair up, hair down...back bent, straightened...on her knees demurely, or posing seductively. Whatever they wanted, she gave it.

With the sudden cry of Viqui's voice, Miho paused in bringing a water bottle to her painted lips. She watched Viqui exchange words with a...her heart fluttered, and she could feel a familiar tensing in her body...oh, but he was handsome. She could feel the heat building up in her cheeks the longer she stared at the tall man. Was he a model? God, she prayed he was...she wouldn't mind posing with him.

When Viqui's sudden speed was finally registered, Miho found herself in the wake of the woman, startled into a shocked silence as she watched the lean man with legs that went up to his ears walk towards her. Violet eyes were wide with surprise at the introduction...she couldn't move! She saw his hand, and her body lurched into action, her hand meeting his and shaking firmly (Her father taught her a true handshake). "U..uwa..mm..hi!" She managed, blushing deeper. "Its a great pleasure to meet you, Mr. Seto, sir!" She berated herself for sounding like sucha twit. "U..uum...I hope they were all good things..." She laughed nervously.

"Mr. Kaiba," he corrected her gently, placing her from looks and naming convention as one unfamiliar with American culture. However... that didn't quite jibe with Viqui's admittedly brief resume of the woman. After a sidelong gaze at Viqui, he turned his full attention back on Miho. "She was certainly impressed with your portfolio," he continued. "And from what I observed before I was observed in turn," he said, casting a brief, amused glance once more to the woman at his side, "you appear to be what we need, professional and vivicaous. Welcome to Royal Enterprises, Ms. Nosaka."

"Oh, yes. Kaiba. Mister Kaiba!" She said, trying not to sound too forceful in her correcting of her mistake made. She smiled helplessly at Kaiba as he gave Viqui a look, thought it was unreadable to Miho. When he called her vivicaous she blushed softly (though it wasn't seen, she blushed all the way to her tiny toes from that comment), but her eyes grew wide when he told her she had the job.

"A..I..really?!" She gasped, pressing her fingers to her lips, eyes shining with bubbling excitement. "Oh! Mr. Kaiba thank you so, so much!" She said, a giggle escaping her - much like the 6 year old who finally got that pony she'd been wanting.

"Seto," Viqui interjected sharply. He turned to her, and the two bent heads to conduct a brief, whispered conversation. When they straightened, Viqui repeated Seto's words. "Welcome indeed, darling. I knew I had something special when I saw you today, although my associate here seems to have stolen my little thunder." Now it was Viqui's turn to shoot a sidelong look. "I'll contact your agency tomorrow and arrange for something longer term. Seto," she continued, "I'll just be a minute, then meet you at the door."

She stayed silent when Viqui spoke, always respectful when others were talking, and brightened up at the woman's words. "I'm sure I'll be very happy here! Undeniably so!" She said, smiling still - she wouldn't have to work in subpar agencies anymore, now that she was solidly set in this.

With an airy wave of her hand, Viqui breezed off toward the unfortunates not having made a quick enough escape from the room. An amused look in his eye, Seto turned back to Miho. "It seems to be just you and I for the time being until Viqui decides she's ready. A woman's perogative, I suppose."

When Viqui breezed off, Miho cautiously peeked up beneath a thick black fringe of eyelashes to Seto, and smiled shyly.

"Perogative. Yeah...I'm sure she'll be back quickly, though..." She said, her voice a little curious. How old was he? Was he single? Oh God...was he -straight-? Questions were running through her mind, like a small rabbit or a mouse on a wheel, until they looped around themselves. But with a model's ability to think and be focused on something else entirely, she kept her eyes trained on Seto with a smile still on her lips.

"Do you have much experience modeling, Ms. Nosaka?" Seto asked, regarding her with grave interest.

"Oh, yes...I've been modeling for awhile now, actually. I've done car modeling, and a few magazine pieces...from Playboy, nothing too big though," she told him, running a hand through her hair in a nervous habit.

"Car modeling?" Seto's attention sharpened, although only visible as a slight narrowing of his eyes. "Contemporary automobiles, or something vintage? What manufacturers?" The other specific job she had mentioned he tucked away as information, not relevant at this time but not to be forgotten.

"Both actually..." She told him, giving him a small smile. "Whatever my agency could get their hands on...but I have a few portfolios, back at the office of the agency, okay? they can show you all my car modeling pictures." She told him with a beaming smile.

Just as Seto was about to reply, Viqui's commanding voice carried over to them, followed by the woman herself. "Seto, darling. I'm ready now. I'm so sorry about that, but you know you have to keep control of some people, for their own good." Seto shot her an ironically amused half-smile.

"Thank you for your time, Ms. Nosaka," Seto excused himself gravely. "I hope to see more of your work in the future." With a nod of parting, he swung away, to stride through the door.

Viqui looked after him with a nearly identical look of tolerant amusement as he had given her. "The man just does not understand you have to wait for a woman to have the last word," she confided to Miho.

"O..oh, well it was a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Kaiba!" she called after him, then went back to tugging at the pig tail on her left side. "Oh, yes Ms. Viqui...um, I completely agree...so while you're at lunch, I'll just head home okay? Since we're practically done here...you have my number, right? Yeah, you do...so...I'll see you around, yeah?" She asked, looking up at Viqui.

"Of course, dear," Viqui told her. "I'll send a firm contract over to your agency in the next few weeks," she said in high-handed dismissiveness. Then her face softened and she reached out to tweak a strand of Miho's vibrant colored hair into place. "You'll do fine," she said in a low, surprisingly sincere voice. Then her public smile flew back into place and she turned with a jaunty wave. "I shall return," she called to the room, and then she followed Seto out the door.

The girl blushed softly at the tweak to her hair but ducked her head in an embarassed way. "Of course, Ms. Viqui. You have my number, I'll see you soon!" she called, waving at the woman as she left.

seto, miho
