Who said anything about that bug being fixed in FCPS2? Bet you any money it's still there, although finding any information on the EXISTING bug is next to impossible, at least through my initial searchings using google.
And the vendor - Apple - will say, "Perhaps when we are not making squillions from the new version that people will buy REGARDLESS of any bugs it may contain, we shall consider your petty bug-fix request."
And the masses, en mass, will cast down their eyes and mumble "Yes, Apple," and shuffle off back to their Apple Macs, avoiding eye contact with their fellow heretics.
At the end of the day, you should be paying for support, because, when you are, you can call them and say "it doesn't work" in the whiniest voice possible and they fix it.
And the dudes at Apple will say, "Yo dude, have you seen our MAC ads? We are just a bunch of floppy haired skinny geeks who are too cool to care about shit. Oh and we are too stoned to think about it."
I'd fucking eviscerate someone of that crap.
