The GOOD news is that, because Sarah Palin is such a douchenozzle, and so much a laughingstock in the public eye, that this kind of BS is actually getting ink in the public press. Not just left-wing stuff, but all over. She and her "Pastor", that Muthhee fella, are being exposed for the wingnuts they are, and they are not gaining, but losing credibility, because their agendas are being exposed.

This goes on all the time, and it has been. But thanks to spokesmodel Sarah Palin and her national exposure, more and more people are becoming aware that these kind of people exist--and I don't think that anyone in their right mind (and I am not including their fellow wingnuts in that number) wants to have anything to do with them.

But if we see things like this, then it is our duty to expose it and get rid of it. Period.

I can see Bush deciding that since they are losing, he use the financial crisis to declare martial law [as per executive order 51 if your read it], suspend the elections and either stay in power himself, or make McCain his appointed successor, with some kind of executive power in the interim.

As for stopping her...well, if voting fails, I suggest we vote from the rooftops. One .50cal vote to the head should do it.

A radical sounding solution, as no doubt someone will point out. But consider how America was founded. If it's no more and no less than what is necessary, then one shouldn't shirk one's duty simply because it's distasteful to modern sensibilities.

And yes, I may be British.. but when one is living next-door to a psychotic 800lb gorilla, you take an interest in what it's doing.

America was founded by an illegal usurpation of rightful governmental authority by some people who were ungrateful to you British bastards for saving our butts from the frogs. The Founders were a bunch of people that felt that obeying the proper laws and authorities were beneath them, and their attitudes towards Indians were frankly genocidal.

Appealing to the Revolutionary generation as a model of anything good is not that wise. The Constitution was a betrayal of the principles of the Revolution. We should have just stuck with the goddamn Articles and none of this shit would have ever happened...
