People are drawn to her like a magnet, and Tina can definitely understand where they’re coming from. There’s something special about Brittany - and her distinct Brittanyness - that’s addictively charming.
Tina’s one of those people, herself, but she likes to think that she’s different from all the boys that took Brittany on first dates and never called again; from all the girls that were more than willing to have Brittany as their experimental “I Kissed a Girl” phase. She likes to think that she’s special, because she sees how special Brittany is.
She doesn’t see “the blonde Cheerio that isn’t Quinn Fabray.” She sees Brittany Pierce, who has an extraordinary talent for cheerleading. She doesn’t see “the only person the academic bowl team could find on short notice.” She sees a girl that people underestimate far too often, and whose love for her precious pet, Lord Tubbington, has introduced her to the fascinating world of felines. She doesn’t see “one of the New Directions’ two best dancers.” She sees a young woman with the most remarkable dancing abilities that Tina has ever known in her life.
Also unlike most of the others that Brittany’s dated - or slept with, or made out with, or done whatever with - Tina’s willing to work for Brittany’s affections. She’s willing to fight tooth and nail, just to get noticed.
And Tina thinks that that will be one of her biggest advantages, just as soon as Brittany starts noticing her, too.
