She doesn’t seem especially qualified for her job, but it’s District Twelve (only District Twelve, after all), so it’s probably very likely that she’s not.
“Madge,” Katniss repeats, and her stylist nods, a curious expression on her face as she watches Katniss assessing her.
Her gaze is a little unnerving, but not unkind or particularly threatening, and Katniss eventually nods, accepting that her fate rests on the shoulders of a girl who looks hardly older than Katniss.
“It’s an unusual name,” she notes quietly, carefully, and Madge’s face breaks out into a smile.
She laughs, and admits with her head tilted to the side (and maybe she's the one doing the assessing, now), “Yes, I guess it is.”
Katniss doesn’t smile, but she almost wants to, so she nods and tries to look more agreeable than she can only assume she already does.
