The Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense is, in some universes, still sort of kind of quasi a little bit secret. This means that they like very much to keep track of their agents and the people connected with them, especially when they've just come bounding in from hell dimensions carrying god knows what diseases or terrible demon inhabitants or whatever.
Thusly, as soon as Becky has managed to soothe the most major traumas visited upon Liz and co, Manning begins to make arrangements to have as many of them as possible in the Bureau's hospital for the duration of their various healing needs.
Liz, naturally, does not get much of an option. Ergo, she is currently under heavy, heavy sedation, which was what was eventually needed to get her to stop clutching Henry like John Stamos keeps clutching the last fading bits of his career. Insert your own future 'guest star on Charmed' joke here.
Given that she has not slept well, if at all, in nearly two months, it's obvious and sensible that she could use the rest. However, further given the reason why she wasn't sleeping, one might surmise at this point that a visitor's presence would wake her up, sedation or no.
