This made me giggle: God, he was a sick, sick bastard.
You know, it's scary how well you 'get' Lincoln. You know that, right? *g* I love him comparing Gretchen/Susan to Sofia, and his admitting that Sofia is unthreatening...but also uninteresting, at her core. And I love that he understands who Gretchen is a bit too well, and that he's done fighting. It's very in character that he'd be simply tired of it all. Great job, here!

I do think it's scary that I get Lincoln (and that people agree that I get Lincoln) because the old adage you have to write what you know DOES NOT apply. The only thing Lincoln and I have in common is our desire for him to have sex with some woman at some point! Hee! But thanks so much!
Sofia is SO boring, even compared with Veronica. But especially compared with Jane (a personal fave) and Gretchen. Even compared with Lisa, or Rita! And also, the good doctor...

I like the comparison with Sofia. I don't mind her, I actually like her, she's cute and everything but Lincoln/Sofia doesn't work for me. I'm always afraid he breaks her. No such risk with Gretchen :-p
T-Bag’s words about her having a kid doesn’t make Lincoln more sympathetic towards her, it makes him hate her more as he remembers how she terrorized him at LJ’s expense.
Nice insight.
I acknowledge that Lincoln has changed but I still want to believe that he's fooling himself when he thinks that he will be able to kill her in cold blood, though. I'm a whimp. I can't stand the idea that characters I love really end up like that.

Okay.
That is beyond awesome. I simply love it, no other words to decribe it *nods*.
I love how pale in comparison to Gretchen Sofia is. She's so... boring, too boring for Linc *nods*. And Gretchen... *smirks*. Yes, these two would have fun.
He is both Gretchen’s enemy, and her almost-lover.
*iz dead*
That line alone makes me wanna make Gretchen/Linc picspam *facepalms*.

Most of my favorite parts of S3 were the Linc/Gretchen parts....

I know it was mentioned upthread, but you do get Lincoln. I find him hard to "get" sometimes and I think this is because I want him to be one way and most of the time he is not.
I liked the struggle with his attraction to Gretchen and his comparison of her with Sofia.

I do think Linc is basically good, but after all that's happened, the lines are very blurred. The struggle it is to have conflicting feelings about one person is much more interesting than boring old Sofia. Poor kid, she's really taking a beating over here!
